Super Power for the Tundra and Sequoia

There's a good reason it’s called a supercharger.

If you crave sheer performance or have heavy loads to haul, a TRD supercharger can add a huge boost to acceleration and towing power. The TRD 5.7L supercharger is SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) certified to deliver 504 horsepower and 550 lb.-ft. of torque, transforming a Tundra or Sequoia into a road-scorching dragster or a trailer-tugging workhorse, depending on your needs.

Engineered specifically for Tundra and Sequoia models equipped with the 5.7L i-FORCE V8 engine, this TRD supercharger performs an amazing power infusion without overstressing the engine. Plus, TRD-conducted EPA drive cycle tests demonstrate there is no reduction in gas mileage when a supercharged vehicle is driven just like a normally aspirated vehicle.

Additionally, when installed by a Toyota dealer, the original vehicle powertrain warranty remains valid in every respect. With the complete TRD supercharger kit, you will experience a seamlessly integrated addition that delivers the best combination of power, throttle response and low-end torque for this size of engine.

This highly engineered supercharger includes the latest generation of the Eaton Twin Vortices System® roots-type rotor pack featuring twin four-lobe rotors. You can be assured that this latest rotor pack technology and overall supercharger design are engineered to deliver the maximum boost in performance with the reliability you can expect. All TRD supercharger applications are 50-state emissions-compliant and virtually maintenance-free.

The TRD Difference
The TRD 5.7L supercharger features the latest Eaton Twin Vortices System® (TVS) roots-type rotor pack with twin four-lobe rotors. The 160-degree twist rotors increase system efficiency by improving the pressure ratio and thermal efficiency in the manifold, requiring minimum energy for maximum airflow while mitigating noise and vibration.

Designed as a complete solution, this TRD supercharger features an air-to-liquid intercooler with a heat-exchanger core located in the plenum section of the manifold. An external aluminum low-temperature radiator is also included to mount in front of the vehicle's OE engine radiator for cooling the fluid before it is pumped into the intercooler. The purpose of an intercooler is to reduce the temperature of the pressurized air in the manifold. This allows for a more aggressive ignition-timing map for ultimate engine response and power output, while also guarding against detonation.

Each TRD 5.7L supercharger kit includes many other components critical to the operation of the system. The kits are separated into a main kit with the supercharger assembly itself, and a vehicle-specific fit kit containing the other critical components. Fit kits include a high-flow fuel pump and fuel injectors to handle the additional fuel demands, an air-to-liquid intercooler system with a custom aluminum low-temperature radiator to maintain optimal temperatures for the system, and lower-heat-range Denso iridium spark plugs for better resistance to detonation. Another included vital component is the high-flow performance air-intake system, which optimizes airflow into the supercharger. This high-flow air-intake system incorporates a larger upper air box lid, an intake-flow accelerator, TRD reusable oiled air filter and a filter service gauge that indicates when it’s time to clean and reoil the filter for maximum airflow. Also included: a new 8-rib serpentine belt, hoses, idler pulley, brackets and all necessary installation hardware.

All TRD supercharger applications are 50-state emissions-compliant and virtually maintenance-free. This supercharger application also requires the use of premium 91 or higher octane gasoline to maximize performance and prevent damage from combustion chamber detonation.

Installation
All TRD superchargers are designed to Toyota engineering specifications and installed utilizing existing mounting points requiring no additional cutting, drilling or fabrication. To ensure the system is covered by the full factory warranty, dealer installation is required.

When installed at a Toyota dealership, TRD superchargers have no effect on the original warranty and are fully covered under the five-year or 60,000-mile Toyota powertrain warranty. Some aftermarket superchargers may limit or void warranty coverage, may not meet emissions regulations, or may require extensive modifications for installation.

The Genuine Toyota Accessory Promise
TRD superchargers undergo rigorous testing both in laboratories and in real-world driving conditions to ensure their long-term durability, performance and compliance with Toyota’s global quality standards. They are constructed from only the highest-quality materials and engineered to install with no cutting or fabrication to provide a factory-like fit and appearance exclusively available from a Toyota dealer.
