A recent article by the BBC on the increasing complexities of using in-vehicle technologies featured workdiscussed by AgeLab research scientist Bruce Mehler at the Connected Car Expo. This research on driverworkload and distraction, which draws on multiple studies conducted in the MIT AgeLab’s instrumented on-road vehicles, has brought new insight to how drivers interact with in-vehicle technologies, as well as the implications for driver safety and the future of navigation and entertainment systems' design.
