On February 23, 2012, Chuck Gulash, Jim Foley, and Kevin Ro, with the Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, met with the National Transportation Safety Board to brief its members on the collaborative safety research the center is currently involved in.

The CSRC was formed in January 2011 with three charter members, and today it has 12 research partners working on 17 projects.
