For new owners of Entune™ [5]-equipped Toyota vehicles, the troubleshooting section of this site will help you with targeted answers to specific questions you may have regarding using Entune™ [5].

I can’t tell which Bing™ result is nearest to me.

Bing™ POI results are sorted by relevance, as determined by Microsoft®. To see the distance, select the Details screen for any POI.

Mobile Device (Android™)

After I got in my vehicle, my phone appears to have connected to the multimedia system without me doing anything.

To help ensure safe operation, do the following steps:
  • Disconnect the phone from the multimedia system.
  • Confirm the Entune™ app is running
  • Confirm “Connect to vehicle” is enabled
  • Connect the phone to the vehicle

Mobile Device (BlackBerry®)

Possible Issue

Sometimes I can scroll to the bottom of a list but not back up.

Do the following steps on the phone:
  • Press the Back button
  • Re-enter the screen containing the list

Maps do not draw properly. Sometimes I see diagonal lines.

This occurs on a small subset of BlackBerry® phones. It is an issue with RIM’s mapping program. RIM (the maker of BlackBerry®) is aware of it.

Bing™: Bing™ sometimes becomes unresponsive when performing a search. Sometimes the app crashes.

Your cell signal may be weak. Do either of the following on your phone:
  • Try again when you have a stronger signal
  • Relaunch the Entune™ mobile app.

Sports: Completed PGA™ tournaments don't show a final-round score.

The final round is sometimes listed as "Round 5."

Mobile Device (iOS)

Placing a phone call interrupted my Entune™ service.

Your iPhone®[6] must have the Entune™ app as the active app and be in stand-by mode in order for calls not to disrupt Entune™ service. iPhone®[6] is in stand-by mode when it displays the "slide to unlock" control.

Traffic: I created a traffic forecast for a city in another time zone. I can’t tell what time zone is being used in the forecast.

A traffic forecast is based on the phone's time zone. Thus, if a user in Los Angeles (Pacific time) creates a traffic forecast for Boston (Eastern time) at 5:00, the result will be for Boston at 5:00 Pacific time (Los Angeles time), 8:00 Eastern time (Boston time).

The phone's battery was low so I plugged it in to recharge, but now it's no longer connected to Entune™.

Once the phone has recharged, reconnect the phone to Entune™.

Some parts of Entune™ don't work even though my phone is connected using Bluetooth®[3] technology.

iPhone®[6] requires both a Bluetooth®[3] connection and a USB connection for full Entune™ operation. See your Owner's Manual.
