Sending and Receiving Phone Calls Using the Touchscreen
Note: "Press" refers to hard buttons on the sides of the screen; "Touch" refers to the display screen (phone or multimedia system).
Making a Call by Dial
- Press the PHONE button on the faceplate
- Touch Dial By Number
- Touch the desired keys to input the phone number
- To delete a number, press the ← arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers
- Touch the green phone icon once the numbers are entered
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
Making a Call by Call History
- Press the PHONE button on the faceplate
- Touch Call History
- Touch All
- Touch to display all calls
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Missed
- Touch to display all calls missed
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Received
- Touch to display all calls received
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Dialed
- Touch to display all calls dialed
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
Hands-Free Call Options
When you are talking on a hands-free call, a screen will be displayed with call
information on the left and call options on the right.
End Call
- Touch End Call to hang up the phone
Dial
- Touch Dial to dial a secon number
- Select: Dial by number, Dial from Contacts or Dial from Call History
- The system will display on screen additional options: Swap Calls, Link Calls, Mute Call or Transfer to Phonex.
Dial Pad
- Touch Dial to send a tone
- Input numbers are sent immediately as tones
- Touch Quit to return to the previous screen
Put Call On Hold
- Touch Put Call on Hold to put a call on hold
Mute Call
- Touch Mute to mute your voice
- Touch Unmute Call to cancel muting your voice
Transfer to Phone
- Touch Transfer to Phone to change from hands-free call to mobile phone call
- Touch Hands-free mode to change from mobile phone call to a hands-free call
Talking on a Bluetooth® [3] Phone
When you are talking on a hands-free call, a screen will be displayed with call information on the left and call options on the right.
Call Waiting
- When you are on a call and a second call comes in, a screen will be displayed showing the first and second caller
- Touch End Call to hang up the first call
- Option: press the hang-up phone button on the steering wheel to end the call
- Touch Swap Calls to put the first call on hold and accept the second call
- Touch Link Calls to create a conference call
- Touch Dial Pad to send a tone
- Input numbers are sent immediately as tones
- Touch Quit to return to the previous screen
- Touch Mute Call to mute your voice
- Touch Transfer to Phone to move the call from the in-vehicle speakers to your smartphone
Calling a Second Number
- When you are on a call and a second call comes in, a screen will be displayed showing the first and second caller
- Touch Dial
- Touch the desired entry
- Touch Dial Number
- Input the number and then touch the phone icon to call
- Touch Dial From Contacts
- Touch the desired method
- Touch Dial from Stored Contact
- Select desired contact
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Dial from Phonebook
- Select desired contact
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Dial from Speed Dial
- Select desired contact
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Dial from Call History
- Touch Dial from All Calls Lists
- Touch to display all calls
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Dial from Missed Calls
- Touch to display all calls missed
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call
- Touch Dial from Received Calls
- Touch to display all calls received
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed
- Touch End Call to cancel the call

- Touch to display all calls previously dialed
- Touch the desired entry
- The call will be placed and a connecting screen will be displayed

- When a new call has been established, a screen will appear showing the two active calls
- The first call is automatically put on hold
- The second caller's information is displayed below the first caller's information

Creating a Saved Entry from Stored Screen
- Press PHONE on the faceplate
- Touch Contacts
- Touch Stored
- Touch Create New Entry
- Select one of four types of phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Work, Other)
- Input new phone number
- To delete a number, press the ← arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers
- Touch the disk icon to save the new phone number
- Input the entry name
- Touch OK
Creating a Speed Dial Entry
- Up to 15 speed dials can be registered
- Touch Contact
- Touch Speed Dials
- Touch the number where you would like to add the number
- Select from a specific category (Stored, Phonebook, Speed Dial)
- Touch the desired entry
- If there are two or more phone numbers, touch the desired entry in the list
- The entry is saved under speed dials
Editing Entry Information
- Touch the note icon next to the contact name on any screen with a list of contacts (Stored, Phonebook, Call History, Speed Dials)
- Touch Show Details to see contact details
- Touch Rename [contact] to input a new entry name
- Touch OK to save new contact name
- Touch Edit Phone Numbers to edit phone number
- Select one of four types of phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Work, Other)
- Input new phone number
- To delete a number, press the ← arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers
- Touch the disk icon to save the new phone number
