What are the Entune™ [5] Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12]?

Entune™ [5] Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12] are applications that are specifically designed for the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Advanced. In addition to the Entune™ applications (e.g., Bing™), customers purchasing this vehicle will receive a suite of applications that will help enhance the ownership experience of their vehicle. Entune™ Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12] include:

Charge Management [16] - Using the "Charge Management" app on your smartphone, you can remotely get a reading of your vehicle's charge status and estimated driving range, view your pre-set recharge start time, and, if your vehicle is plugged-in, immediately initiate a recharge.

Charging Station Map [12] - Using the "Charging Station Map" app on your vehicle multimedia screen, you can search for charging stations near you, filter results by charging capability (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, etc.), and view additional information such as charging station hours of operation, phone number, and number of chargers.

ECO Dashboard [12] - Using the "ECO Dashboard" app on your smartphone, you can remotely track your historical ECO Driving Scores and fuel efficiency, and compare your scores to those of other ECO Dashboard users.

Remote Climate [14] - From your compatible Android™ smartphone or iPhone® you have the ability to remotely activate the air conditioning system in your Prius Plug-in Hybrid.

Vehicle Finder [15] - Using the "Vehicle Finder" app on your smartphone, you can view a map display of your current location, your vehicle's last known location, and directions to navigate you there. [12]

How do Entune™ [5] Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12] operate?

Entune™ Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12] are designed to work simply and intuitively. You can operate many of the apps via your smartphone interface when away from your vehicle. These apps will allow you to access the status of select vehicle information such as your vehicle's charge status. You can also use these apps to activate select vehicle operations, including initiating an immediate recharge (when the vehicle is plugged-in) and turning on the air conditioning [14].

To allow for the Entune™ Plug-in Hybrid Apps [12] to send information to and from the vehicle, the apps are integrated with the Safety Connect® [13] system, which has embedded cellular and GPS technology - therefore an active Safety Connect® [13] account is required.

Using the touch screen on your vehicle's multimedia system, you can access the Charging Station Map [12] application via a Bluetooth® [3] connection to your mobile phone. Using the "Charging Station Map" app on your multimedia screen, you can search for charging stations near you, filter results by charging capability (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, etc.), and view additional information such as charging station hours of operation, phone number, and number of chargers (when available).

Can I personalize the name of my vehicle?
