Phone Compatibility

Which phones are compatible with Toyota Entune™?

Toyota Entune™ is compatible with a wide range of mobile phones. Most smartphones with a data plan are compatible, including iPhone® [6], Android™ and BlackBerry®. Go to www.toyota.com/connect for a list of compatible phones or to test your phone’s compatibility.

What wireless technology is used with Toyota Entune™?

Bluetooth® [3] wireless technology is used to connect mobile phone wirelessly to your vehicle's multimedia system in order to use Entune™. Some mobile phones require a USB cable to use Entune™.

How many different mobile phones can Entune™ support?

You can link up to five different phones to an Entune™ account. The primary account holder must send invitation emails to the other four users for them to register. Invitation emails can only be sent while logged into your Entune™ account.

Will Entune™ use my phone's data plan for operation?

Yes, Entune™ relies on your mobile phone's data-plan and carrier charges will apply. Each application within Entune™ will have different data usage depending on how often you engage each application. Daily use of Pandora® or iHeartRadio [1] use large amount of data and may have an impact on your cellular data plan. You can take a look at the data calculators provided on your cellular carrier's website or speak with your wireless carrier to understand what data plans would fit you the best.

Is Entune™ compatible with tablets (eg, iPad®, Microsoft® Xoom, and Samsung Galaxy Tab™)?

No. Entune™ is designed to work specifically with select mobile phones to provide all of its unique features and benefits.

Will Entune™ work if my service carrier is not listed on toyota.com/connect?

Toyota officially supports the phones and providers listed. Some phones not listed will work with Entune™, but have not been tested by Toyota.

If my phone is not currently listed, when will it be tested?

Toyota is currently conducting an on-going test schedule of new phone models, as they become available. Many phones have been tested, and many will never be tested.

Why does my iPhone® [6] disconnect my Entune™ connection when I receive a call?

Leaving the iPhone® [6] screen ON will disconnect an active Entune™ internet connection when a phone call is received. Turn the iPhone® [6] screen OFF and Entune™ services will remain active upon your call's completion.
Note: Depressing the iPhone's® [6] "HOME" button also disconnects an active Entune™ internet connection.

How do I reconnect my iPhone® [6] with Entune™ if it gets disconnected when I receive a call?

Once you end your call, the Entune™ system asks if you want to "Reconnect to Internet?"

Does Entune™ currently Support Blackberry® 7 OS?

Entune™ does not currently support Blackberry® 7 OS and Toyota does not have any plans in the immediate future to test or support Blackberry® 7 OS.
