I can't download the Entune™ app

Possible Issue

Resolution

Your iPhone® [6] was "jailbroken" or your Android™ phone was "rooted".

The Entune™ app is not supported on phones that have been unlocked, jailbroken or rooted.

You are not using a supported phone.

Visit toyota.com/connect to verify you are using a supported phone.

Your phone does not have a data plan.

Entune™ requires a supported phone with a data plan.

The Entune™ app won't install on my phone

Your phone's Bluetooth® [3] system is turned off.

Enable Bluetooth® [3] on your phone.

Your phone and the Entune™ system have not been paired, or you deleted the pairing information on either the phone or the multimedia system. Test for this condition.

Pair your phone to the multimedia system.

Your phone is paired but is not actively connected to the multimedia system. Test for this condition.

Error message when touching the Apps button: "To use the services, an active application needs to be running on your phone"

Your phone does not have the Entune™ mobile app.

Do these steps on your phone:
  • Download and install the Entune™ mobile app from your phone's app store
  • Launch the Entune™ mobile app
  • Sign in to your Entune™ account

The Entune™ app is not running on your phone.

Do these steps on your phone:
  • Launch the Entune™ mobile app
  • iPhone® [6]: make sure the Entune™ mobile app is the foreground app

You are not signed in to your Entune™ account.

Using the Entune™ mobile app, sign in to your Entune™ account.

Your phone is not Entune™-compatible.

Visit Toyota.com/connect to verify your phone is Entune™-compatible.

The Entune™ mobile app is not communicating with the multimedia system. Test for this condition.

Do these steps on your phone:
  • Launch the Entune™ mobile app
  • Go to the Option menu
  • Touch Connect to Vehicle

My app download becomes stuck at a certain percentage

Possible Issue

Resolution

Your phone has a weak cell signal. AT&T iPhone® [6] users: Test for this condition.

As you drive to an area with a stronger cell signal, your phone will automatically communicate faster and the error will resolve.

My app download failed with the message: "Apps update unsuccessful"

Resolution

Your phone has a weak cell signal. AT&T iPhone® [6] users: Test for this condition.

As you drive to an area with a stronger cell signal, your phone will automatically communicate faster and the error will resolve.

The Entune™ mobile app crashed.

Relaunch the Entune™ mobile app and try again.

iPhone® [6]: the Entune™ mobile app is running in the background.

Switch the Entune™ app to the foreground (make the Entune™ app the active app) and try again.
