Sending and Receiving Phone Calls Using the Touchscreen

Note: "Press" refers to hard buttons on the sides of the screen; "Touch" refers to the display screen (phone or multimedia system).

Making a Call by Dial

  1. Press the PHONE button on the faceplate
  2. Touch Dial By Number
  3. Touch the desired keys to input the phone number
  4. To delete a number, press the ← arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers
  5. Touch the green phone icon once the numbers are entered
  6. The call will be placed, and a connecting screen will be displayed
  7. Touch End Call to cancel the call

Making a Call by Contacts

  1. Press the PHONE button on the faceplate
  2. Touch Contacts
  3. Touch Stored
  4. Touch the desired contact
  5. The call will be placed, and a connecting screen will be displayed
  6. Touch End Call

Making a Call by Phonebook

  1. Press the PHONE button on the faceplate
  2. Touch Contacts
  3. Touch Phonebook
  4. Touch the desired contact
  5. The call will be placed, and a connecting screen will be displayed
  6. Touch End Call to cancel the call

Making a Call by Speed Dial

Making a Call by Call History

    1. Touch to display all calls

    1. Touch to display all calls missed

Receiving a Call

When a call is received, the screen will display information from the incoming caller

  1. Touch Accept to talk on the phone
  2. Touch Reject to reject the call

Hands-Free Call Options

When you are talking on a hands-free call, a screen will be displayed with call information on the left and call options on the right.

End Call

  1. Touch End Call to hang up the phone

Dial

  1. Touch Dial to dial a second number
  2. Select: Dial by number, Dial From Contacts or Dial From Call History
  3. The system will display on screen additional options: Swap Calls, Link Calls, Mute Call or Transfer to Phone

Dial Pad

  1. Touch Dial to send a tone
    1. Input numbers are sent immediately as tones
    2. Touch Quit to return to the previous screen

Put Call on Hold

  1. Touch Put Call on Hold to put a call on hold

Mute Call

  1. Touch Mute to mute your voice
  2. Touch Unmute Call to cancel muting your voice

Transfer to Phone

  1. Touch Transfer to Phone to change from hands-free call to mobile phone call
  2. Touch Hands-Free Mode to change from mobile phone call to a hands-free call

Call Waiting

  1. When you are on a call and a second call comes in, a screen will be displayed showing the first and second caller
  2. Touch End Call to hang up the first call
    1. Option: press the hang-up phone button on the steering wheel to end the call
  3. Touch Swap Calls to put the first call on hold and accept the second call
  4. Touch Link Calls to create a conference call
  5. Touch Dial Pad to send a tone
    1. Input numbers are sent immediately as tones
    2. Touch Quit to return to the previous screen
  6. Touch Mute Call to mute your voice
  7. Touch Transfer to Phone to move the call from the in-vehicle speakers to your smartphone

Calling a Second Number

  1. When you are on a call and a second call comes in, a screen will be displayed showing the first and second caller
  2. Touch Dial
  3. Touch the desired entry
  4. Touch Dial Number
    1. Input the number and then touch the phone icon to call

    Creating a Saved Entry

    1. Press PHONE on the faceplate

    3. Touch Stored
    4. Touch Create New Entry
    5. Select one of four types of phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Work, Other)
    6. Input new phone number
    7. To delete a number, press the arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers
    8. Touch the disk icon to save the new phone number
    9. Input the entry name
    10. Touch OK

    Creating a Saved Entry From Dial by Number Screen

    1. Press PHONE on the faceplate
    2. Touch Dial by Number
    3. Input new phone number

    Creating a Saved Entry From Call History Screen

    3. Touch a selection (All, Missed, Received, Dialed)
    4. Touch to display a selection
    5. Touch the desired entry
    6. Touch the disk icon to save the new phone number
    7. Input the entry name
    8. Touch OK

    Creating a Saved Entry From Phonebook Screen

    1. Press PHONE on the faceplate
    2. Touch Contacts
    3. Touch Phonebook
    4. Touch the desired contact
    5. Touch the note icon next to the desired contact
    6. Touch Add to Stored Phone Numbers
    7. Input the entry name (if not already highlighted)
    8. Touch OK

    Creating a Speed Dial Entry

    1. Up to 15 speed dials can be registered
    2. Touch Contact
    3. Touch Speed Dials
    4. Touch the number where you would like to add the number
    5. Select from a specific category (Stored, Phonebook, Speed Dial)
    6. Touch the desired entry
    7. If there are two or more phone numbers, touch the desired entry in the list
    8. The entry is saved under speed dials

    Editing Entry Information

    1. Touch the note icon next to the contact name on any screen with a list of contacts (Stored, Phonebook, Call History, Speed Dials)
    2. Touch Show Details to see contact details
    3. Touch Rename 7 to input a new entry name
      1. Touch OK to save new contact name
    4. Touch Edit Phone Numbers to edit phone number
      1. Select one of four types of phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Work, Other)
      2. Input new phone number
      3. To delete a number, press the arrow. Touch and hold to continue to delete numbers

    • Is Entune® compatible with tablets (e.g iPad®, Microsoft® Xoom and Samsung Galaxy TabTM)?
      No. Entune® is designed to work specifically with select mobile phones to provide all of its unique features and benefits.
    • Will Entune® work with my iPad® 10 or iPod® 10 Touch?
      Only smartphones and feature phones are tested and support Entune®.
    • Do I need a special Toyota application downloaded to my phone?
      Yes, there is a Toyota Entune® mobile application that you'll need for vehicle integration. Once you've registered on-line, you can link to your phone’s app store to download it.
