When wheels lose traction, a vehicle can stop moving and even crash. Toyota’s advanced Traction Control system helps stop a vehicle’s wheels from spinning uncontrollably during a rapid start or when accelerating on a slippery road surface. It also helps tires grip the road more securely to help prevent lateral skidding during cornering.
How Does It Work?
Toyota’s Traction Control System continuously monitors the wheels whenever the vehicle accelerates. As soon as it detects that one or more drive wheels is starting to spin, it applies the brakes to the wheels and controls engine output to help the wheels better adhere to the road surface.
