Toyota Executive Vice President Takeshi Uchiyamada discusses Toyota's upcoming plans for hybrid, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, environmental technologies that will impact resource and energy conservation, environmental preservation, safety and other opportunities to create a sustainable society.

Uchiyamada has global responsibility for Toyota's research and vehicle development activities and is considered the father of the original Prius. After brief remarks he takes questions from the audience at this lecture at the University of Michigan, Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute.
