What is a Sienna Rampvan?
The IMS Sienna Rampvan is a lowered-floor minivan with an in-floor right-side entry ramp. The dropped floor decreases the ramp angle, making the vehicle easier to enter and exit, and increases interior headroom, providing a more comfortable ride. The extended travel of the power sliding door, a 30-inch-wide ramp platform and an auto "kneeling" passenger side suspension allow wheelchair and scooter users easier access in and out of the van. Both the ramp and door open and close automatically, providing roll-up access in about 10 seconds.
The Rampvan features generous ground clearance and the ramp is encased in a weatherproof enclosure for trouble-free operation. A convenient feature is a special key chain that, when held up to a switch hidden in the rear taillight of the minivan, automatically opens the door and deploys the ramp. The Sienna Rampvan has seating that can be switched from the driver's side to the passenger location. This enables a wheelchair user to move between driving and riding positions.
Other standard equipment includes multiple wheelchair tie-down points, emergency door-ramp release, anti-skid ramp coating, removable driver's seat and power door, and power ramp with three conveniently located control switches. IMS' exclusive bump-and-reverse design allows the ramp or door to retract if either path is obstructed.
In many cases, IMS dealers will install additional adaptive technology, such as hand controls and power lock-downs, to meet the needs of their end users.
The Sienna Rampvan combines the unparalleled quality and customer satisfaction of a Toyota vehicle with the dedication to safety, design and reliability of an IMS conversion.
