The standard 2.7-liter engine with dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) features a variable-length intake manifold system (ACIS) and a 3-stage variable oil pump. When combined with technologies such as Tumble Control Valves (TCV), the powerplant quietly delivers a robust 186 lb.-ft. of torque, as well as an impressive mpg (20/25 city/hwy) EPA [1] rating and lower emissions.
