Getting the Word Out!
Submitted By: James C. - Valparaiso, IN
Last week I pulled my '04 Prius into a gas station for a rare fill-up and next to me was a woman filling her "Hummer." She took notice of my car asking if it was a hybrid. After I responded she asked, "Where do you plug it in?" I explained about the Prius and its duo power system and she nodded calling my car smart. I smiled! Click went my fill-up at $11.87 and I said I had to be going. As we said so long I looked at her pump while she stood there still filling...The pump read $74.00 and still running. I smiled one last time!
Garage Full of Hybrids

Earlier in the year, either March or February, my mom and I went to the local dealership to inquire about the Highlander Hybrid...we ended up test driving the Prius that was there and a couple days later we bought it...totally spontaneous! My mom loves it still very much, and we even got our family friend to buy her own 2005 Prius, which she named "Lucky." A week and a half ago, we paid our Toyota Sales Consultant a visit to inquire about the Highlander Hybrid again...sure enough, a couple days later we traded in our full-size SUV and car for it and now it lives in our garage. Besides my sister's car, we all have Toyotas now, mine being my mom's original 1993 Toyota Corolla DX...
My Prius - Nicknamed Pri
Submitted By: Michael H. - Fort Collins, CO
I have owned many "flagship" vehicles in the last 10 years. Pri just gets so many things right in comparison. It's quiet, roomy, and EASY to drive. I use Pri for my computer consulting business and for my family outings. After adding XM radio, GPS navigation and custom seat covers, Pri performs his daily job with style. The Smart Key System keeps my hands free of keys and working on the tasks at hand. Pri's hatch and 60/40 seats allows me to haul everything from large telescopes to school saxophones, yet fit me and my family with ease. Finally, as a side note, Pri is easy on my pocketbook for fuel. It's interesting to note that Pri goes more places since I don't second guess my need for the trip -- We Just Go and Have Fun!
