JOB DESCRIPTION

Use your technological expertise to successfully fulfill the needs of Toyota's growing business. As an Information Systems Trainee, you will have the opportunity to partner with key Toyota business units to provide innovative technological solutions for our products and services. You will be located at our headquarters in Torrance, California.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In Toyota's 24-month Information Systems program, you will not only become familiar with our infrastructure and applications, but you will also gain an enhanced understanding of customers and operations as well as the opportunity to work closely with management.

Up to four six-month rotations may include time in the following areas:

  • Toyota/Scion Call Center - building familiarity with product line and business skills
  • Design & Engineering - Networking experience in Voice/Data/Video and platforms
  • Enterprise Information Security & Privacy - understanding the evolving security role
  • Project Lifecycle- gain exposure to project management including systems implementations and testing
Ideally, technical candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Mathematics, as well as one year of work experience in a related field. Your ability to learn new concepts, apply analytical thinking, multitask and prioritize your projects will be essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are most desirable.

CAREER PATH

Information Systems Trainees can be the first of many successful steps in your career. Typically, you will move on to be an Analyst or Administrator. You can then take on more responsibility as a Senior Administrator, Supervisor, or Lead. Eventually, you can continue your growth into a technical subject matter expert or management position.
