JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our Sales, Marketing, and Service Management Trainee (MT) rotational program and get the experience you need to become a Field Traveler in one of our Toyota or Lexus offices across the U.S. You will enjoy on-the-job training and classroom instruction in areas like business ethics and project management as you complete your rotational assignments at the Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. headquarters in Torrance, CA.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your introduction to the MT program will begin with a Customer Experience Center rotation, where you will answer customer questions and assist them over the phone, by mail, or e-mail. After this, further rotations could include areas such as: Advertising, Dealer Operations and Consulting, Distribution, Facilities, Fleet/TRAC (Toyota Rent-A-Car), Market Representation, Lexus or Toyota Product Education, Sales Management and Administration, Scion Field Operations, Signature, Vehicle Operations Group, and/or Warranty. Departmental assignments are project-based and will allow you high-level insight into the philosophy driving our sales and marketing practices.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, management, automotive technology, liberal arts, or a related discipline. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also essential. Furthermore, proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary. Relocation and heavy travel will be required. Dealership experience and/or a passion for the automotive industry is a plus.

CAREER PATH

After your training, you will have the opportunity to become a Field Analyst in one of our Toyota Region or Lexus Area Offices. After one or two years, you can pursue a Field Traveler position, which is the primary liaison between Toyota Motor Sales and up to a dozen dealerships.
