Northern Kentucky Business Journal July 1, 2011Thanks to the public, the Healing Place, a homeless shelter in Louisville, now has a new Toyota to deliver more food and clothing to those in need and help clients reach vital medical, judicial, and educational services. In addition, the Anderson Human Society, an animal shelter in Lawrenceburg, can now transport more animals to vets’ offices and adoption drives. Both Kentucky organizations recently won new Toyota vehicle as part of the company’s 100 Cars for Good program – a major new philanthropic effort in which Toyota is giving 100 cars to 100 U.S. nonprofits over the course of 100 days.
