Bill Davis Racing returns to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2007 for its fourth season as a full-time participant in the series, after making its series debut with Toyota in 2004. Last year, the three Bill Davis Racing drivers — Johnny Benson, Bill Lester and Mike Skinner — accounted for seven wins, nine pole positions and two top-10 finishes in the final championship point standings. In 2006, Johnny Benson recorded five wins and one pole en route to a second-place finish in the final point standings. Mike Skinner added one win and a series-high eight poles and was 10th in the final series point standings. Rookie Tyler Walker joins the team in 2007, driving the No. 36 360 OTC Toyota Tundra. Since 1988, Bill Davis Racing has successfully competed in both the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series, recording a combined 16 wins, including a victory in the 2002 Daytona 500. Bill Davis has an eye for developing talent and his team has helped launch the careers of Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon (who earned 1991 Busch Rookie of the Year honors), Bobby Labonte, Ward Burton and Scott Wimmer, among others. In addition to running three Tundra trucks and two Camry Cup cars in 2007, Davis, owner of Triad Racing in High Point, N.C., will continue to assist TRD, U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development) as a technical partner.
