SIX TOYOTAS START AT POCONO - BLANEY EARNS SECOND STRAIGHT TOP-20 FINISHDave Blaney earned the top finish by a Camry with his second straight top-20 finish in his No. 22 Caterpillar Camry. Blaney finished 20th after starting 19th and running within the top-20 throughout the event.
"We ran okay today and where we finished is about what we had," said Blaney, following the race. "We seemed to run 15th to 20th all day and just couldn't do any better than that. When that's all you've got, you just have to finish with it and that's what we did. It was a smooth day; we just couldn't seem to get fast enough to really get up there in the top-15."
Brian Vickers finished 29th after being involved in a lap-182 accident causing front-end and steering damage to the No. 83 Red Bull Camry.
"I went into the corner and everyone was slamming on brakes and spinning in front of me," said Vickers, following the race. "I got on the brakes, but it was too late and a couple cars got into me which sent me into a couple more guys. It knocked the tow out on the car and bent the front up pretty good. We just had to limp through the final laps out there to get to the checkers."
Jeremy Mayfield started today's race from the 43rd position in his No. 36 360 OTC Camry and finished 31st in his eighth start of the 2007 season.
"It was a long day and we really focused on testing the car all day," said Mayfield, following the race. "I don't know what we tested all day, but we tested something. We just kept running all day and just couldn't get it where it needed to be. This is a car that we hadn't run before and it wouldn't accept the adjustments like we needed it to during the race. But we made the race this week and finished the race, so I know we will take some notes back to the shop and hopefully we gained some information."
The No. 44 UPS Camry of Dale Jarrett finished 42nd after a broken fuel pump at the halfway point in the race forced him to the garage for 25 laps for repairs. Jarrett was running as high as third during the 200-lap race. Fellow Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) driver, David Reutimann, also experienced a broken fuel pump on his No. 00 Burger King Camry. Reutimann finished 41st. Michael Waltrip finished 38th in his No. 55 NAPA Camry after mechanical problems ended his day with less than five laps remaining.
The next NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on the schedule will take place on Sunday, August 12, at Watkins Glen International in New York.
In Saturday's NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Busch Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Camry driver David Reutimann avoided a late-race on-track melee to finish ninth on the 2.71-mile road course. His performance in the No. 99 NAPA Canada Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing gave Toyota its 26th top-10 finish of the season in NASCAR Busch Series competition.
"We survived," said Reutimann, after finishing his second career road course race. "We kept plugging away and stayed on the course. I got jammed up there one time just trying to let guys go and kind of got run over. Other than that it ended up being fairly uneventful. The guys did a good job, the car drove well and I learned a lot out here today. It was a positive day, especially to come out of here with a top-10 finish."
Reutimann was running 15th with five laps remaining in the 75-lap race when two late race cautions flew, with accidents involving several of the lead cars. Reutimann was able to negotiate his way around the wreckage to earn his ninth top-10 finish of the season.
Last week's winner, Jason Leffler, lost a cylinder in his No. 38 Great Clips Camry, which dropped him to 37th, but he drove his Braun Racing Camry to a 26th place finish.
"I just blew a motor," said Leffler, following the race. "I missed a shift and blew another motor so we were riding around on seven cylinders. It was pretty disappointing, but we'll recover and be ready for next weekend at The Glen."
Canadian John Graham made his first NBS start of the season in the No. 10 Kick Butt Amped Energy Ballz Camry for Braun Racing and finished 23rd.
Three Camrys drivers remain in the NASCAR Busch Series top-10 point standings following the series' debut in Canada. Reutimann maintains second with 2,680 points (-787). Leffler falls one spot to fourth with 2,532 points (-935). Dave Blaney, who has sat out the last two races to concentrate on his NEXTEL Cup efforts, falls two positions to ninth with 2,252 points (-1,215).
The next race on the NASCAR Busch Series schedule is August 11 at Watkins Glen International in New York.
The next race on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule is August 11 at Nashville Superspeedway.

Can you talk about your race today?
"We ran okay today and where we finished is about what we had today. We seemed to run 15th to 20th all day and just couldn't do any better than that. When that's all you've got, you just have to finish with it and that's what we did. It was a smooth day; we just couldn't seem to get fast enough to really get up there in the top-15. The guys had great pit stops all day and they kept me in position all afternoon. We struggled a little on the handling side and a little on the horsepower side and that really adds up here with the straight-aways being so long. If you're off a little in the corners, it's just multiplied on the long straight-aways. It doesn't take much to lose a little ground here. But we had a solid day and we'll get ready for the road course next week."
BRIAN VICKERS, No. 83 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Team Red Bull
Finished: 29th
How was your race today?
"We didn't get quite where we needed to be today. When we started the race we were just too tight and then we adjusted to the loose side by the end of the race. I couldn't keep the back of the car under me there at the end. We were also fighting a brake issue. We were heating up the fronts and the rears were working too well and that was locking up the rear tires. Then we ended up getting wrecked there at the end and there was nothing we could do."
What happened in the wreck?
"I went into the corner and everyone was slamming on brakes and spinning in front of me. I got on the brakes, but it was too late and a couple cars got into me which sent me into a couple more guys. It knocked the tow out on the car and bent the front up pretty good. We just had to limp through the final laps out there to get to the checkers."

Finished: 41st
Can you talk about your day and what happened that took you out of the race?
"This was just another disappointing day. We battled the handling on the car all day and just never could seem to get it where we needed to be. Then we lost fuel pressure and determined that the fuel pump broke -- we had to come to the garage to get that replaced. We just can't keep having these types of mechanical failures -- it's just frustrating. But I know everyone will keep working to get us where we need to be and we have to gain owner points and we can't do that when we are in the garage early."
DALE JARRETT, No. 44 UPS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Finished: 42nd
How good was your car and what happened that sent you to the garage at the halfway point in the race?
"We had a good car. I knew if we ever got this race car in a race we would be able to show that it was fast. We obviously had some trouble getting it fast enough to make a couple races, but I knew by the feel of the car and the down force that it seemed to have, that it had the potential to be a real good car. It proved today that it was a good car -- we passed a lot of cars. We had good pit stops and unfortunately just past halfway we had a fuel pump problem. That ruined our day, but we know what caused it and we fixed that. It was somewhat encouraging to go out, run and pass some race cars. We still have work to do, but that was a definite improvement."
MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 55 NAPA Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
