HISTORY HERE: This will mark the second time the Toyota Camry has competed in NASCAR competition at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). The Camry made its NNCS debut at Michigan in June. In that race, two Camry drivers recorded top-15 finishes (Michael Waltrip - 10th and David Reutimann - 15th). In 2004, Toyota captured its first NCTS victory at Michigan when Travis Kvapil guided his Tundra across the finish line capturing the checkered flag.

DOUBLE DOWN: When the NNCS visited MIS in June, Toyota earned its first pair of top-15 finishes in a single race when Michael Waltrip crossed the finish line 10th and teammate David Reutimann finished 15th. "It's really great for our team to have run that well all day at Michigan," says Waltrip, driver of the No. 55 NAPA Camry. "I'm so proud of David (Reutimann). I saw him get lapped early in the race and then never saw him again. To finish 10th and 15th with our Toyotas was just great."

ROOKIE'S PERSPECTIVE: "One race doesn't make your deal, but it certainly doesn't hurt your morale," says Reutimann, talking about the first Michigan race this year. "We're capable of things a lot better than that and hopefully it was just a start. Everyone is working hard and what it does is show the guys what they're doing is working. If we can get these things so we can drive them hard, then we can race these guys. And, we're getting a little closer to what we need to have."

FIRST AND LAST: Toyota drivers have five wins at Michigan. Dale Jarrett, driver of the No. 44 UPS Camry, earned his first career NASCAR Cup Series win at Michigan in 1991 and has three additional wins (1996, 1999, and 2002) and two poles (1997 and 2002) at the track. Jeremy Mayfield, driver of the No. 36 360 OTC Camry, earned his most recent NNCS victory at the track in August of 2005.

BUBBLE TROUBLE: The No. 22 Caterpillar Camry, driven by Dave Blaney, had a strong race at MIS in June, running in the top-15 for much of the 400-mile event and crossing the finish line 18th. The June results could help prepare them for a strong run this weekend to assist the team move into the top-35 in owner points. "We've been in a precarious position for the last couple of weeks, being right there on the bubble of the top-35 in owner points, and we knew we couldn't make any mistakes or have any problems if we wanted to stay there," comments Blaney.

BLANEY ON THE BUBBLE: "Unfortunately, luck was not on our side last weekend in Watkins Glen, and once again, we find ourselves on the outside looking in," says Blaney. "It will be another stressful Friday this weekend in Michigan, but our Camry ran well at MIS in June, and I'm confident we can get it done again. Obviously, we'll utilize everything we learned the last time we were there and apply it wherever we can this weekend. Going back to these tracks for the second time should really help us right off the truck. We're heading there with every intention of chasing that No. 21 car down and getting ourselves back into the top 35, so we'll need to get in a good qualifying lap and hope we don't run into any problems during the race. I like the track in Michigan. It's a great place to race - big and fast and wide - and we'll do everything we need to do this weekend to make sure we leave there exactly where we need to be."

PIZZA PLEASE: Domino's Pizza returns to the hood of the No. 00 Camry for a homecoming this weekend, as Domino's headquarters is based out of nearby Ann Arbor, Mich. In addition to gracing the hood of the No. 00 Dominos.com Camry, Domino's will also carry a special paint scheme on Reutimann's No. 99 Busch Series entry. Both Reutimann and team owner Waltrip will visit Domino's World Resource Center (corporate headquarters) on Thursday to speak with employees. Additionally, Reutimann will deliver Domino's 'Brooklyn Style' Pizza to a troop of Boy Scouts from Brooklyn, Mich. on Friday at the track.

TWO IN BUSCH TOP-FIVE: Camry drivers Reutimann (second) and Jason Leffler (fourth) both sit among the top-five in the NBS championship point standings. This season, Camrys have led a total of 154 laps in NBS competition. Both Leffler and Reutimann have led a total of 60 laps each, totaling 120 laps combined. In addition, Blaney has led a total of 19 laps and Todd Bodine was up front for 15 laps. The Camry has one win (Leffler at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis), 11 top-five and 26 top-10 finishes in NBS competition this year. Toyota has scored poles with Leffler at Daytona (July) and Blaney at California (February).

NEW CAR SMELL: When the team transporters arrive at Michigan this weekend, the No. 99 team will unload a new Camry for Saturday's Busch race. "I like Michigan -- it's a cool place," says Reutimann, driver of the No. 99 Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing. "I think it suits what we have going on and we'll have a good car running at Michigan. It's a new car and we are pretty happy with what we've seen with it so far. I really like going to Michigan and we've run well in Trucks, and even in the Cup car, so hopefully we'll be able to get a solid finish."

TODD TAKES IT TO TRACK: Defending NCTS champion Todd Bodine will take advantage of an 'off weekend' to compete in Saturday's NBS race at MIS. Bodine, who will make his third start in a Camry this season, earned a pair of top-10 finishes in his two previous starts this season (Milwaukee and Gateway) and has two NBS wins (1992 and 2000) at Michigan. "We should have won at St. Louis, so we know we have a good car and a good team, and we can go up there and run competitively," says Bodine, who will pilot the No. 03 Germain Racing Camry. "It's just a matter of getting it right and balanced. We've been looking forward to running these Busch races all year. At Michigan, you've got to have a good car and a good team -- you have to have the whole package. I've been fortunate to have it at MIS quite a few times, and got two wins and a lot of good runs."

BRIAN BACK TO BRAUN: Brian Vickers will take the helm of the No. 10 Fan1st.com Camry for Braun Racing in the next four Busch Series events -- Michigan, Bristol, California and Richmond. Saturday's race at Michigan will be the second time this year he's climbed behind the wheel of a Busch ride this year -- he finished 13th at Daytona in July. Vickers became the youngest series champion (at 20 years old) in the history of NASCAR's top-three divisions when he clinched the 2003 NBS title. He has three NBS wins (Darlington, Dover and ORP) and one pole (Rockingham) in 74 career starts.

TUNDRAS TOPS: After 15 of 25 races, five Tundra drivers currently sit among the top-eight in the NCTS championship point standings. Mike Skinner remains in control of the points lead, but now only holds onto the top spot by 82 points over Ron Hornaday. He is being chased by fellow Tundra drivers Todd Bodine (fourth), Johnny Benson (sixth), Jack Sprague (seventh) and Ted Musgrave (eighth) as the series enjoys a weekend off before heading to Bristol Motor Speedway next week.

SKINNER STATS: Not only does Skinner lead the NCTS point standings, but he also leads the series in many other statistical categories. Skinner has an average running position of 4.368 this season. His No. 5 Toyota Tundra for Bill Davis Racing has also been the fastest on the track for 357 laps or 19.4% of laps tallied this season. He's spent 94.9% of laps or 2,377 laps in the top-15 on track, led 912 laps or 36.4% of laps ran this season, and he's spent 2,466 of 2,506 laps on the lead lap.

CREW MEMBERS CALL MICHIGAN HOME: Several Toyota crew members hail from Michigan including Andrew Turner and Drew Bible. Turner is the jackman on the No. 84 Camry for Team Red Bull and is from Coloma. Bible, originally from Coldwater, is now the shock specialist on the No. 55 Camry for Michael Waltrip.

TUNDRA MILESTONE: This week, Toyota will assemble its one millionth Tundra in the United States. The all-new, 2007 Tundra was designed and engineered in the United States and is assembled exclusively in the company's facilities in Princeton, Indiana, and San Antonio, Texas. Sales for the all-new full-size Tundra pick-up truck began in February 2007.

HAPPY 50th: Toyota is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the U.S. in 2007. Toyota and its dealers employ close to 150,000 workers in the U.S. and assembles approximately half the vehicles it sells in America, while operating 10 manufacturing facilities throughout the country.
