

Barto and his wife Gisele enjoy family, flying, boating, skiing and auto racing. They have five adult children and recently celebrated the birth of their first grandchild. Barto and Gisele also own a 1931 Bugatti T-51 race car and Barto has been a regular competitor at the Rolex Monterey Historic races held annually at Laguna Seca Raceway.
Barto joined a family real estate development business after graduating from UCLA with a Degree in Economics in 1979 and was instrumental in guiding the family enterprise into the oil business. Today, the family enterprise has expanded its holdings to include most of the wells and mineral rights in the major Long Beach/Signal Hill oilfield with company production of 1,000,000 barrels of oil per year, natural gas wells in Northern California, and retail shopping centers and office buildings in California.
