Former 15-year NBA veteran John “Spider” Salley will return to the 2008 Toyota Pro/Celebrity after a mid-pack finish in 2007.

Currently he is the co-host of the Emmy nominated, critically acclaimed “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” on Fox Sports Network.
Salley and his brother Jerry head the charitable organization “The Salley Foundation.” He is also involved with raising awareness about the AIDS pandemic by working in conjunction with VH1 and The Global Fund.

Additionally, he’s actively involved with Operation Smile, an organization aimed at helping change the lives of children all over the world.

Highlights:

• First NBA player to win four championships with three different teams
• Member of the Detroit Pistons “Bad Boys” squad in the 1980s with Isaiah Washington and Dennis Rodman
• Played in Chicago with Michael Jordan as a team member of the Chicago Bulls championship team (1996)
