Whit Bazemore will trade in the drag strip for the streets of Long Beach as he competes in the 2008 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.

Bazemore has 20 NHRA Funny Car career victories and 29 low qualifier awards under his belt.

In 2003, Bazemore clocked the fastest elapsed time and speeds run at the time at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill. (4.713 seconds, 333.25 mph), and in 2006 recorded the quickest run of his career, 4.674-seconds during qualifying at the Chicago track. He earned his 20th career victory in July of 2006 when he won at Pacific Raceways near Seattle. Bazemore competed in the Top Fuel category for the first time in 2007 in a dragster supported by long-time sponsor Matco Tools.
