Former road racer returns to his sports car roots after four seasons of NASCAR competition. Campaigned extensively in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he won three pole positions – two in 2005, along with a pair of top-five finishes that season. Also raced in a handful of NASCAR SPRINT Cup events. Began racing in SCCA competition, winning Northern California Region Rookie of the Year title in 1985.

A year later, he won SCCA GT-3 Regional Road Racing Championship. Moved up to IMSA GTO in 1989 and also had a limited schedule in SCCA Trans-AM. During the late 1980s to the middle 1990s, he amassed four starts in the 24 Hours of Daytona while racing a variety of series. Ran in both NASCAR Busch and truck road course events in 1999 and 2000, leading to full-time truck series ride in 2002. As accomplished on the academic side as he is as a racer, has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley – one of America’s finest institutions. A former program manager at Hewlett-Packard before he opted for a full-time racing career.
