You can’t help but stare at Prius Persona’s standard 17-in. alloy wheels. With their unique dark metal finish, they show that being eco-sensitive can also be fashionable.

A vehicle this advanced deserves a design to match, so we added contrasting gray stitching to Prius Persona’s SofTex®-trimmed seats. It’s one small touch that makes a big impression.

This is one detail that’s hard to miss. Adding style and visibility to Prius Persona are these color-keyed side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Whether it’s a moonlight drive or a night on the town, Prius Persona is ready to set the mood with its standard illuminated footwells. With their soft ice-blue lighting, they help make this cabin the coolest place in town.

Your passengers will take notice. With a dark chrome finish on the steering bezel, gear shifter and door handles, the interior of Prius Persona is impossible to ignore.

Prius changed the world 14 years ago by bringing hybrid cars to the mainstream. It’s a modern-day icon, and its Hybrid Synergy Drive® remains innovative, dependable and loved by owners around the world. That’s why 95% of all Toyota Prius models sold in the last 10 years are still on the road.

Prius is the world’s most iconic hybrid, combining incredible aerodynamic efficiency with unmistakable styling. Almost every inch of the body of Prius was designed with a purpose: cheating the wind. Flowing lines and purposeful edge detailing conspire to reduce wind resistance for a quieter ride and greater fuel efficiency.

Our proven Hybrid Synergy Drive® system combines the benefits of an efficient gasoline engine and a clean, quiet electric motor. It can be powered by the engine, the electric motor or a combination of both, and will automatically choose the most efficient mode for the best mpg.

Prius offers an EPA-estimated 51 mpg city/48 mpg highway/50 mpg combined. That’s not only a big relief on your pocketbook, but the environment as well. Prius is also certified as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) in California and states adopting its emissions guidelines.

In addition to normal operating mode Prius offers three driver-selectable modes: EV, ECO and POWER. EV Mode allows Prius to run on battery power alone for up to one mile; ECO helps improve fuel economy by adjusting throttle input and climate control; and POWER helps create a more spirited driving experience.

Daytime Running Lights (DRL), which switch on whenever the engine does, help prevent daytime head-on collisions by making you more visible. Prius Five comes standard with LED (light-emitting diode) headlights, which use 20% to 30% less energy than traditional headlights and have auto level control, auto on/off and headlight cleaners.

Coefficient of Drag (Cd) is a measurement of how effectively a vehicle’s shape slices through the air. The lower its drag coefficient, the more aerodynamic it is, which means it requires less energy to push it through the air. With a Cd of only 0.25, Prius is one of the most aerodynamic production cars in the world.

With a Smart Key fob in your pocket or purse, push the Power button, and you are ready to go. If the battery power is low, the gas engine may start instead, otherwise Prius will move on battery power alone. If Prius senses it needs more power than the battery can provide, the gas engine will take over.

Prius can start moving at lower speeds by using only the electric motor (no gasoline required). As you drive along, the car’s computer will automatically switch from electric to gas, or use a combination of the two to produce the most fuel-efficient driving.

Eco-sensitive driving doesn’t have to mean sacrificing performance. Prius has the power you need to pass, merge onto the freeway and more. During full acceleration, its gasoline engine is used while the battery supplies increased drive power to the electric motor.

Prius takes advantage of every possible opportunity to harness energy and use it efficiently—and that goes for the braking system too. As you apply the brakes in Prius, you’re making power that will be stored in the system battery for more EV-only operation and increased fuel savings.

When Prius comes to a stop, its gasoline engine shuts off to conserve fuel and reduce emissions. Pressing the gas pedal lightly will move Prius using electricity alone, while more pressure will automatically start the gas engine to provide more power.

Part of the Solar Roof and Deluxe Solar Roof packages, Remote Air Conditioning can cool the cabin of Prius before you get in by activating the electric air conditioning compressor. Using your key fob, you can turn the air conditioning system on from up to 30 yards away, and run it on hybrid system battery power for up to three minutes.

Within three feet of your Prius, with the Smart Key fob in your pocket or purse, interior lights illuminate, the driver’s door can be unlocked, and the vehicle can be started with the push of a button. On Prius Three, Four and Five, it also allows you to open both front doors and the rear hatch.

Using technology inspired by the world’s most advanced aircraft, the available HUD projects information such as vehicle speed, Hybrid System Indicator and navigation information onto the windshield directly in front of you for quick, convenient viewing.

Another Prius innovation, Touch Tracer Display places an image of your steering wheel controls on the Multi-Information Display. Whenever you touch one of the controls, that feature will illuminate, so you’ll know what you’ve got your thumb on without having to look down at the steering wheel. It’s not only cool and very convenient, it helps you keep your eyes on the road.

Sure, knowledge is power, but it can also be efficiency. The informative Hybrid System Indicator can show you how efficiently you’re driving and help you learn how to get the most out of your vehicle’s remarkable fuel efficiency.

Available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) helps maintain a preset distance from the car traveling in front of you by automatically reducing the throttle. Once the road clears, the vehicle returns to its preset speed.

The energy monitor on Prius indicates the operation of the engine and hybrid system in real time. Hybrid Synergy Drive® employs the most efficient source of power when possible.

Don’t use more gas than you need to. With the Multi-Information Display, you can monitor the gas mileage of your Prius with an instantaneous readout of your current mpg and average historical mpg over time.

Be even more cost-conscious. ECO Savings Record uses a small in-dash screen to let you measure the efficiency of your Prius to another vehicle. Just plug in the mileage from a previous car (or friend’s car), the price of gas, and get a monthly savings amount.

The available Entune® App Suite multimedia system offers popular mobile applications including Bing™, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable® and Pandora®. Plus, you can access a wealth of valuable data services including fuel prices, stocks, sports, traffic and weather.

Featuring an amplifier and eight JBL® GreenEdge™ speakers, this available system combines JBL®’s audio expertise with eco-sensitive technologies to create an amazing audio experience. With increased performance, reduced power consumption and a lower system weight, the GreenEdge™ system represents the future of mobile audio.

Prius offers three available audio systems that include an integrated backup camera and navigation, so you can have a soundtrack for your journey. Choose from Display Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite, Display Audio with Navigation, Entune® App Suite and JBL®, or Premium HDD Navigation with Entune® App Suite and JBL®.

Prius helps keep you connected to your network and entertainment. Bluetooth® connectivity lets you make hands-free phone calls without even having to touch your phone, and wirelessly stream music from your phone or compatible MP3 player to the audio system. Prius also comes standard with a USB portso you can plug in a thumb drive with your favorite MP3 files, or connect your compatible iPod® and control it through the audio system.

When you’re backing up, the backup camera displays the area behind the vehicle that’s visible to the camera on the touch-screen of the navigation system or on the audio system’s display. Sometimes it takes forward-thinking features to help you see what might be behind you.

It’s like leather, but better. Our available SofTex® trim material weighs about half as much as the real thing, and its manufacturing process generates around 85% fewer CO2 emissions and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) than that of conventional synthetic leather.

As sleek and aerodynamic as Prius is, you might not expect a lot of interior room. But when you open the doors, you’ll be greeted by an open and airy 5-passenger cabin with 42.5 inches of leg room up front and 36 inches in the rear.

One reason Prius feels so roomy is its curvaceous roofline. Looking at its profile, you’ll see there’s a peak in the center called the central apex. It’s there not only for aerodynamic efficiency, but optimized head room as well.

Getting comfortable with Prius is easy with the available 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support.

Once you spend some time in a Prius, you’ll want all your friends and family to experience it as well. With that in mind, we gave Prius seating for up to five, so everyone can ride in comfort.

If you want to stay cool, park in the sun. The available Solar Roof is embedded with solar panels that can power a fan to circulate ambient air through the cabin when Prius is parked in direct sunlight. This feature helps keep cabin air temperature close to that of the outside air for a more comfortable return to the vehicle.

The liftback design of Prius opens wide to meet your cargo needs. Whether it’s a grocery run or a trip to the home improvement center, Prius has a surprising amount of room to handle the necessities of life.

Even with the rear seats up, Prius offers 21.6 cubic feet of cargo capacity. And with the 60/40 split rear seat folded flat, there’s room for almost 40 cubic feet of your stuff.

In addition to the main cargo space, Prius offers under-floor storage and side panel storage for smaller items, and comes with a cargo area tonneau cover to help keep your belongings out of view.

Prius provides you and your passengers with a total of seven airbags, including driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, a driver knee airbag and front and rear side curtain airbags.

Prius comes standard with the Star Safety System™, a suite of six advanced safety features that includes enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology® (SST).

With available Safety Connect®, emergency assistance is within your reach. Via Toyota’s 24/7 call center, Safety Connect® offers subscribers helpful features such as Emergency Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance and Automatic Collision Notification.

Working in concert with the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), the available Pre-Collision System (PCS) employs the vehicle’s radar system to determine if a frontal collision is imminent. If so, the system automatically applies the brakes and retracts the front seatbelts to prepare for such a scenario.

If an inadvertent lane departure is detected, the available Lane Keep Assist (LKA) issues an audible warning and displays a warning on the instrument panel. And when Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is engaged, LKA is designed to help keep Prius in its lane by providing gentle corrective steering when necessary.

When Prius is traveling below 15 mph and running on electric power only, it’s often too quiet for people to hear. So VPNS emits an undulating mechanical sound to alert pedestrians and bicyclists of your presence.
