Your VIN—Vehicle Identification Number—is the unique identifier specifically for your vehicle. This is the number your Department of Motor Vehicles uses, your insurance company uses, and Toyota uses to be able to distinguish your vehicle from everyone else’s.

Toyota does not share ANY information with Motor Vehicles, or your insurance company or anyone else, so there’s no need to be concerned about including your VIN in your registration.
