  • Roles and Responsibilities

    The Sales, Marketing, and Service Marketing Trainee Program is designed to prepare you to become a District Parts and Service Manager in one of our 14 nationwide field offices. (See locations below.) Training involves both practical and experiential learning through rotational job assignments as listed in the program structure overview:


    Sales, Marketing, and Service Marketing Trainee Program – Up to 24 months; occurs at TMS’ National Headquarters in Torrance, California.

    1st Rotation – Toyota Call Center. Rotation is within our world-class call center to assist customers with product or service questions. During this rotation you will gain valuable experience with our product line, hone communication and influencing skills, and develop business insight.

    2nd Rotation – Dealer Support and/or Sales Training. Gain exposure to dealer fixed operations via presentations, shadowing, reporting, region and dealer visits. Learn practical information about the Toyota and Lexus Field Offices.

  • Qualifications

    Qualified candidates for the Sales, Marketing, and Service Marketing Trainee Program will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, management, automotive technology, or a related discipline. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also essential. Furthermore, proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary. A 3.0 GPA or higher is required. Relocation and heavy travel will be required. Dealership experience and/or a passion for the automotive industry is a plus.

  • Career Path

    After your training, you will have the opportunity to become a Field Analyst in one of our Toyota Region or Lexus Area Offices. After one or two years, you can pursue a Field Traveler position, which is the primary liaison between Toyota Motor Sales and up to a dozen dealerships.
