Product and people

Including people in lifestyle photography is recommended, but not required, as long as the product experience is conveyed. People should be photographed in a candid, uncontrived manner. One or multiple vehicles may be used and props may be included.

Location and view

Select a location that helps to convey the experience and lifestyle desired by the targeted audience in a way that appears authentic and not staged. Showcasing the driver’s side is preferred, but an angle that best conveys the unique vehicle qualities may be used.

Photography Element: Color-on-Color

For use across all styles of photography, accenting elements within the image by using the same color of the vehicle is an option to draw attention to the product’s characteristics. This may be achieved using accents, such as a piece of clothing, a prop, an element in the setting, or color texture and hues in the surrounding environment. Care should be taken, so as not to appear overly color-themed.

Below are examples that express effective use of color accents in photography.
