Logo Selection

Use the staged Toyota logo whenever possible. This will help provide maximum visual impact in sponsorship opportunities and environments. When space is limited, the Toyota legacy logo may be used.

The Toyota logo should be used for the majority of co-branding lockups. In special cases, a vehicle logo may be used. Never use the Let’s Go Places logo in co-branding lockups.

Title Sponsorships

For title sponsorship opportunities, the Toyota logo may be closely aligned or integrated with the logo of the event being sponsored. While the new, staged Toyota logo is preferred, the Toyota legacy logo may be used when space is limited. Minimum clear space may be reduced as needed to ensure visual impact of the Toyota logo.

Co-Branding Lockups

Only use the staging shape versions for co-branding logo lockups. From the four configurations, select the version that best matches the shape of the co-branding logo and the surrounding layout. The Toyota logo should carry the same visual weight as the co-branding logo, and unless otherwise specified, the Toyota logo should be first in the lockup when it can be accommodated. Use full-color whenever possible, but when appropriate, refer to the 1-color guidelines.

    Clear Space

When combining the Toyota staged logo with another logo using a divider line, it’s important to respect the 2X minimum clear space requirement around the lockup. The space between the logos and divider line should be 1X. The X unit of measurement is derived from the 4x4 grid of the staging platform.

    Divider Line

The divider line will extend to the full height or width of the Toyota staged logo including the wordmark. Determine the width of the dividing line by using a 72 (length)-to-1 (width) ratio, but never go thinner than 1 pixel.

    Divider Color

Always color the dividing line the same as the Toyota wordmark. When the wordmark is black, the line should be black. When the wordmark is white, the line should also be white.

Co-Branding Descriptor

Use Toyota Type Regular for sponsorship descriptors. Typesetting the descriptor in title case is preferred, but sentence case may be used as an alternative if the appearance is enhanced. Center the descriptor on the most appropriate side of the logo. When placed on white or light backgrounds, use black, and when on mid-to-dark backgrounds, use white. Size the sponsorship descriptor no smaller than 1/2X and no larger than 1X.

Stand-Alone Logo

When partnership brand guidelines do not permit or mandate the Toyota logo to be closely aligned with the event logo, the Toyota logo may stand alone. Position the Toyota logo to complement the layout and size it to be clearly visible within the application.
