Audio Streaming

The audio system enables users to enjoy audio played on a Bluetooth®-compatible portable player or smartphone from the vehicle's speakers via wireless communication.

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Press the AUDIO button on the faceplate
  2. Touch Source
  3. Touch Bluetooth® (If a Bluetooth® audio device is not connected, connecting Bluetooth® audio screen will automatically appear. Click here to learn how to connect a Bluetooth® device)
  4. If the Bluetooth®-capable audio device is paired and connected, audio will begin playing automatically
  5. Touch || to pause the track
  6. Touch > to resume playing the track
  7. Press and hold the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to fast-forward or rewind. When you release the button, the player will start playing from that position.
  8. Press and release the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to move forward or back to the next track
  9. Touch the speaker icon to change the sound setup


iTunes® Tagging

With iTunes® Tagging, all you have to do when you hear a song you like on an HD Radio  station is tag it with just the press of a button and then purchase it later.

Sometimes you hear a song on the radio you'd like to remember so you can buy it later. Now, with iTunes® Tagging, when you hear a song you like on an HD Radio  station, you can tag it with the press of a button and purchase it later.

Tag a Song

  1. In HD Radio mode, when you hear a song you want to tag, touch Tag on the screen
  2. Next time you connect your iPod®  or iPhone®, the tagged song information will be transferred to your device
  3. If your iPod® or iPhone® device is already connected, the songs will be tagged and transferred immediately
  4. When you sync your device with your iTunes® account, the tagged songs will appear in a special folder, allowing you to review your tagged songs and decide whether or not you want to purchase them
  5. Note: Tagged songs will be transferred to the first iPod® or iPhone® device connected to the vehicle. The audio unit does not store tagged songs. Once the tagged songs are downloaded, they are removed from the audio unit


Using the CD/MP3/WMA/DVD Player

The single-disc CD player incorporated into the unit can play audio CD, MP3 and WMA discs.

Insert/Eject a Disc

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Insert a disc with the label side up
  2. When a disc is correctly inserted into the slot, the CD player will automatically start playing from the first track or the first file in the first folder on the disc
  3. To eject a disc, press the ∧ button on the faceplate. The disc will be ejected.

Using CD Mode

  1. Press the AUDIO button on the faceplate
  2. The audio system turns on in the last mode used
  3. Touch || to pause the track
  4. Touch > to resume playing the track
  5. Press and hold the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to fast-forward or rewind. When you release the button, the player will start playing from that position.
  6. Press and release the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to move forward or back to the next song


AM/FM Radio

All your favorite local stations on AM/FM radio.

Radio mode has a mix preset function, which can store from any of the AM, FM or SAT (if equipped) bands.

  1. Turn on the Display Audio unit with the "PWR/VOL" knob
  2. Press the AUDIO button on the faceplate
  3. Touch Source
  4. Touch the radio band you prefer
  5. Touch Source to select another band

To tune the radio:

  • Manual tuning: Search for a desired radio station by turning the "TUNE/SCROLL" knob
  • Preset tuning: Touch one of the mix preset channels on the left side of the screen to select the desired station. The screen button is highlighted and the station frequency appears on the screen.
  • Seek tuning: Press the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK buttons on the left side of the faceplate. The radio will seek for and tune to the next available station. Each time the button is pressed, the stations will be searched automatically, one after another.
  • Touch Scan to scan to next station. Touch Scan again to stop scanning and remain on the current station.


Using Your iPod®/USB/Auxiliary Device

Connect your iPod®  or USB device and play your music through your multimedia system.

Connect an iPod®

Connecting an iPod®  using the USB port enables users to enjoy music or other iPod® content via the vehicle's speakers.

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Open the cover of the USB/Aux port and connect an iPod®
  2. The iPod® will begin playing and song information will be displayed
  3. If no audio plays, turn on audio by pressing PWR/VOL button and then press AUDIO on faceplate. Touch Source and then touch iPod.

Play an iPod®

  1. The title of the album and song you are currently listening to will be displayed, as well as the album art if available
  2. Touch || to pause the track
  3. Touch > to resume playing the track
  4. Press and hold the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to fast-forward or rewind. When you release the button, the player will start playing from that position.
  5. Press and release the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to advance to the next track or go back to the previous track

Connect a USB Device

  1. Open the cover of the USB/Aux port and connect a USB memory device
  2. The actual position of the USB port  may differ depending on the vehicle. For details, see the pictorial index of the vehicle Owner's Manual.
  3. Plug in memory device
  4. Music will begin playing
  5. If no audio plays, turn on audio by pressing the PWR/VOL button and then press AUDIO on faceplate. Touch Source and then touch USB.

Switch to USB Mode

  1. Press the AUDIO button on the faceplate
  2. Touch the Source tab
  3. Touch USB on the screen

Play USB Memory Device

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. The song you are currently listening to will be displayed
  2. Touch || to pause the song
  3. Touch > to resume playing the song
  4. Press and hold the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to fast-forward or rewind. When you release the button, the player will start playing from that position.
  5. Press and release the ∧ SEEK/∨ TRACK button to advance to the next track or go back to the previous track

Connect an Auxiliary Device

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Open the cover of the USB/AUX port and connect an auxiliary cable
  2. Music will play automatically when connected
  3. If no audio plays, press AUDIO on faceplate and then touch Source
  4. Touch AUX on the screen
  5. Only the volume can be adjusted using the audio system controls. The remaining controls need to be operated on the portable audio device.


Using SiriusXM

SiriusXM Radio delivers over 170 channels of sports, news, talk and commercial-free music, all in amazing digital sound.

  1. Turn on the Display Audio unit with the "PWR/VOL" knob
  2. Press the AUDIO button on the faceplate
  3. Touch the Source button
  4. Touch theSAT button

Change Channel Category

  1. Touch Options
  2. Touch Type > to go to the next category or < Type to go back to the previous category

Preset a Station

  1. Tune to the desired station
  2. Touch one of the left-side screen buttons (1-6) and hold it until a beep is heard. This sets the preset frequency to the screen button. The station's frequency will be displayed in the screen button. Touch the >> and << arrows to show additional presets that can be set. Up to 36 radio presets are available.


What is Entune?

Entune encompasses the complete audio display stack of your vehicle—including Bluetooth®, voice recognition, USB, AUX port and your display screen. On select models equipped with premium audio head units, you have access to navigation and a rich set of apps and data services, now referred to as the Entune® App Suite.

Is SiriusXM® Satellite Radio part of Entune® App Suite?

SiriusXM® Satellite Radio is not part of Entune® App Suite. SiriusXM® Satellite Radio services require a valid SiriusXM® subscription and are sold separately by SiriusXM®. On select Toyota models, three months of complimentary SiriusXM All Access service are available.
