Introduction to Destination Search

Destination Search lets you search addresses and more than 20 million points of interest. Then you can easily navigate to a desired address or business (with a paired and Internet-connected phone).

Phone must be paired and connected to use Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pair a Phone and find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have an active Entune® App Suite account. To register for Entune® App Suite, please visit myentune.com. You can also register directly from the Entune app.

Destination Search video shown is for Entune Premium Audio systems. For Entune Premium Audio systems, Destination Search is accessible by pressing APPS on the faceplate.

For Entune Premium JBL® Audio with 11.6-in. HD Multimedia Display, you can access Destination Search by pressing MENU on the faceplate and then touching App Suite.

Search at Current Location

Note: "Press" refers to a physical button on your phone or the multimedia system faceplate. "Touch" refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Press MENU on the faceplate
  2. Touch App Suite
  3. Touch Destination Search
  4. Touch Enter a Search Term (if the current area is where you wish to search)
  5. Enter a word or words you would like to do a POI search for; e.g., “coffee”
  6. Touch OK
  7. Screen will display results
  8. Select a desired search result
  9. If you would like to call the location, touch Call to call desired location and then touch Yes to confirm request
    • Touch Cancel to cancel call
  10. If you would like to go to the location, touch Map to begin route calculation
  11. Touch Go to Destination to begin calculating route
  12. Touch OK to begin navigation

Search by Category (Current Location)

  4. Touch Categories
  5. Select a category from which you choose to search. Use arrows on right side of the screen to scroll up and down through categories.
  6. After choosing a category, select a desired search result
  7. If you would like to call the location, touch Call to call desired location and then touch Yes to confirm request
    • Touch Cancel to cancel call
  8. If you would like to go to the location, touch Map to begin route calculation
  9. Touch Go to Destination to begin calculating route
  10. Touch OK to begin navigation

Personalize a Custom Station

  1. When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-up icon to “like” the track; iHeartRadio will play more tracks with similar qualities
  2. When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-down icon to “dislike” the track; iHeartRadio will skip that track and avoid tracks with similar qualities

Pause and Skip a Song

  1. When a custom station is playing, touch the II button to pause the song; touch the > button to resume playing the song
  2. When a custom station is playing, touch the >> button to skip a song (iHeartRadio allows six skips per hour per station)

MovieTickets.com

Using MovieTickets.com

Phone must be paired and connected to Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pair a Phone to find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have a valid MovieTickets.com account in order to purchase movie tickets using MovieTickets.com in Entune® App Suite.

Search for Movies

  1. Press MENU on the faceplate
  2. Touch App Suite
  3. Touch MovieTickets.com
  4. A list of theaters will appear at current location with distance and ticket icon (if purchase can be made)
  5. Touch desired theater
  6. A list of movies for the selected theater will appear. For each movie, the following information will appear: name of movie, running time, rating and next showtime
  7. Use up/down arrows to scroll through the list
  8. Touch desired movie
  9. Touch Map to navigate to theater
  10. Touch Call to call theater
  11. Touch All Showtimes
  12. All showtimes will appear
  13. Touch OK to return to previous screen

Change Search Locations

  3. Touch MovieTickets.com
  4. A list of theaters will appear at current location with distance and ticket icon (if purchase can be made)

  6. Select location from previous list or...
  7. Touch Enter a location
  8. Input new location via touch keyboard
  9. Touch OK
  10. Select location from list
  11. Theaters in and near your selected location will appear

OpenTable®

Using OpenTable®

Phone must be paired and connected to Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pair a Phone to find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have a valid OpenTable® account in order to make table reservations using OpenTable® in Entune® App Suite.

  2. Touch App Suite
  3. Touch OpenTable®
  4. Touch Current Location to search at current location or touch Choose Location to search for reservations from one of the listed cities
  5. Touch Date to enter date
  6. Touch Time to enter time
  7. Touch Party to enter how many in party
  8. Input restaurant name if desired; otherwise, it will search in current location
  9. Select one of the Max Results options (20, 40, 60, 80 or 100) to increase the maximum number of restaurant results returned
  10. Touch Search
  11. A list of restaurants matching your desired criteria will be shown
  12. Restaurant information includes restaurant name, city, price range, and cuisine type
  13. Touch desired restaurant
  14. Restaurant details appear with name, address, phone number, price range, date and available reservation times
  15. Touch reservation time to select
    1. Your email and phone number will appear (set up from previous account). If you do not have a phone number associated with your account, touch Input Phone to enter phone number via touch keyboard. A phone number is required for an OpenTable® reservation.
    2. Touch Confirm to create a reservation

Pandora®

Introduction to Pandora®

With the Toyota Entune® App Suite, you can now stream Pandora®  in your vehicle and access the familiar controls right from your Toyota’s dash.

New to Pandora®? Great music discovery is effortless and free with Pandora® internet radio. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs, genres or composers, and Pandora® will do the rest. It’s easy to create personalized stations that play only music you’ll love.

Tap into an entire world of music and comedy—new and old, well known and obscure. Create up to 100 personalized radio stations with your free account.

Using your thumbs is the best way to fine-tune your station and help Pandora® deliver only the music you want to hear. If you like a track, click “thumbs-up,” and Pandora® will play more songs like it. If you don’t like what you hear, click “thumbs-down,” and Pandora® won’t play that track or ones like it again.

Pandora® will display the track title and artist, as well as the album art, for many of the tracks directly on the multimedia screen in your Toyota. Pandora® can be streamed in your car simultaneously with other apps or data services.

Launch Pandora®

Create a Pandora® Station

  4. Touch Create Station

  7. Make a selection based on search results
  8. Pandora® will create a station and begin playing
  9. While listening to a song, Pandora® will display the track title, album title, artist and album art, if available

Delete a Pandora® Station

  3. Touch the thumbs-down icon to "dislike" the track; Pandora® will skip that track and avoid tracks with similar qualities

Pause and Skip Songs

  4. Select one of the nearby places and then touch Check In to post your check in on your Facebook page
  5. Or you may enter in a description to search on
  6. Touch Check In to let your friends know where you are and maybe where they should be as well
  7. After selecting a place, you can also touch Tag Friends With You to tag them with your check in

Slacker Radio

Introduction to Slacker Radio

Slacker Radio gives you access to a wide variety of music and entertainment in your vehicle. You will have the ability to customize stations, with access to over 13 million songs. You will also have access to 300 Slacker Radio stations covering music, news, comedy, sports and more.

Phone must be paired and connected to Internet services. You must have a valid Slacker Radio account linked with your Entune® App Suite account in order to use Slacker Radio in the Entune® App Suite. If you need to link your Slacker Radio account with your Entune® App Suite account, please visit myentune.com. You can also register directly from the Entune® app.

Slacker Radio video shown is for Entune Premium Audio systems. For Entune Premium Audio systems, Slacker Radio is accessible by pressing APPS on the faceplate.

Entune® App Suite FAQs

How much does Entune® App Suite cost?

Originally launched in 2011 with a three-year complimentary subscription trial, the Entune® App Suite is now completely subscription free.

*Select Entune® App Suite apps use a large amount of data and you are responsible for all data charges. Apps and services vary by phone and carrier; not all services available all the time and in all locations, and are subject to change.

Do all Entune audio systems come with the App Suite?

No. Entune® App Suite is only available on Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite and Entune Premium JBL® Audio with Navigation and App Suite.

Do I need to register for Entune to use it?

Only vehicles with Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite and Entune Premium JBL® Audio with Navigation and App Suite require you to register, as they contain Entune® App Suite, which requires registration. Search for “Entune” in your respective app store (Apple or Android) to download the Entune® App Suite app. With the Entune® App Suite app, you can register and link your third-party apps (iHeartRadio, Pandora®, Movietickets.com, OpenTable®, Slacker Radio and Facebook Places), all via your mobile handset.

Can I register for Entune® App Suite through my smartphone?

Yes, please download the Entune® App Suite app from your respective app store and register via the app.

Do I need a special Toyota application downloaded to my phone to use Entune® App Suite?

Yes, there is a Toyota Entune® App Suite mobile application in the Apple App StoreSM or Google Play (Android) app store. Once you have registered for Entune® App Suite, pair your phone with the vehicle via Bluetooth® and launch the app.

What kind of apps are in Entune® App Suite?

Entune® App Suite features a total of eight apps. They are Destination Search, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable®, Pandora®, Slacker Radio and, for Entune® App Suite on select 2014 and later model year vehicles, Facebook Places and Yelp®. In addition, HD predictive traffic and weather with advanced Doppler, stocks, sports and fuel guide data services are included on select vehicles.

Which apps are included with Entune® App Suite?

The third-party apps supported through Toyota Entune® App Suite include:

Destination Search — Search and explore places to go and exciting things to do. Find and go to points of interest, addresses, restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues and more.

iHeartRadio — Listen to more than 1500 live radio stations from across the country and create personalized Custom Stations.

MovieTickets.com — A personal box office on your dashboard. Find movies, see showtimes and purchase tickets right from your vehicle.

OpenTable® — Locate restaurants by time, date, type of cuisine and price range. Make real-time reservations and navigate right from your vehicle.

Pandora® — Create and listen to personalized music stations that stream directly to your vehicle. You can also create and personalize stations based on a specific song or artist you enjoy.

Facebook Places — Check in and notify your Facebook friends of your location the moment you arrive. *On select 2014 and later models.

Yelp® — Looking for a local place to eat, shop, drink, relax or play? Read reviews from locals who know best and get directions sent directly to your navigation system. *On select 2014 and later models.

Slacker Radio — Slacker is handcrafted radio from passionate music experts. Discover the perfect music for any moment, with hundreds of stations and recommendations that adapt to you.

Can I add other apps to Entune® App Suite?

No. The ability to add applications to Entune® App Suite is not possible. We are continuously listening to customers' feedback and comments and analyzing which apps are valuable to customers that might be included in future Entune® App Suite updates.

Which wireless technology is used with Toyota Entune® App Suite?

Bluetooth® technology is used to connect your smartphone with Entune® App Suite.

Does Entune® App Suite use my phone's data plan for operation?

Yes, Entune® App Suite relies on your compatible mobile phone's data plan; thus, carrier charges will apply. Each application within Entune® App Suite will have different data usage depending on how often you engage each application. Daily use of Pandora®, iHeartRadio or Slacker Radio uses larger amounts of data and may have an impact on your cellular data plan. We recommend you understand your phone carrier's data plan so there are no surprises. Many provide a data calculator on their website, or you can contact them directly.

What is Entune?

Entune encompasses the complete audio display stack of your vehicle—including Bluetooth®, voice recognition, USB, AUX port and your display screen. On select models equipped with premium audio head units, you have access to navigation and a rich set of apps and data services, now referred to as the Entune® App Suite.

Can I get the Entune® App Suite system on another manufacturer's vehicle?

No. The Toyota Entune® App Suite system is a proprietary in-vehicle multimedia system solely owned by Toyota.

Will Entune® App Suite be available in the aftermarket to retrofit older vehicles?

Not at this time.
