Destination Search

Introduction to Destination Search

Destination Search lets you search addresses and more than 20 million points of interest. Then you can easily navigate to a desired address or business (with a paired and Internet-connected phone).

Phone must be paired and connected to use Internet services. If it is not, please go to Pairing a Phone Using Bluetooth® and find out how to connect to Internet services. You must have an active Entune® App Suite account. To register for Entune® App Suite, please visit myentune.com. You can also register directly from the Entune® app.

Launch Destination Search

Note: “Press” refers to a physical button on the multimedia system faceplate. “Touch” refers to a button, command or menu drawn on the display touch-screen.

  1. Press the □ button on the bottom of the faceplate
  2. Touch Apps
  3. Touch Destination Search to launch the app (the Entune® App Suite app must be launched/open on your smartphone, and you must be signed in to use Destination Search in the vehicle)

Search for Point of Interest at Current Location

  1. Press the □ button on the bottom of the faceplate
  2. Touch Apps
  3. Touch Destination Search
  4. Touch Enter a Search Term (if the current area is where you wish to search)
  5. Enter a full address or a word or words you would like to do a POI search for; e.g., “coffee”
  6. Touch OK
  7. The vehicle touch-screen will display destination results
  8. Select a desired search result
  9. If you would like to call the destination, touch Call to call desired destination and then touch Yes to confirm request (phone numbers may not be available for some destinations)
  10. Touch Cancel to cancel call
  11. If you would like to go to the destination, touch Map to navigate to that destination
  12. Touch Go to (O) (use destination icon) to begin calculating route
  13. Touch OK to begin navigation guidance

Search by Category at Current Location

  5. Select a category from which you would like to search. Use arrows on right side of the screen to scroll up or down through the categories.
  6. After choosing a category, the vehicle touch-screen will display destination results for that category
  7. Select desired destination
  8. If you would like to call the location (if a phone number is available for that location), touch Call to call desired location and then touch Yes to confirm request
  9. If you would like to call the destination, touch Call to call desired destination and then touch Yes to confirm request (phone numbers may not be available for some destinations)
  10. Touch Cancel to cancel call
  11. If you would like to go to the destination, touch Map to navigate to that destination
  12. Touch Go to (O) (use destination icon) to begin calculating route
  13. Touch OK to begin navigation guidance


iHeartRadio

Launch iHeartRadio

Personalize a Custom Station

  • When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-up icon to “like” the track; iHeartRadio will play more tracks with similar qualities
  • When a custom station is playing, touch the thumbs-down icon to “dislike” the track; iHeartRadio will skip that track and avoid tracks with similar qualities (if maximum skips are reached, iHeartRadio will not skip the track; iHeartRadio allows six skips per hour per station)

Pause and Skip a Song

  • When a custom station is playing, touch the || button to pause the song; touch the > button to resume playing the song

Launch MovieTickets.com

Find Theaters and Movies

  4. A list of theaters will appear at the current location. Each theater will show the distance to the theater from the current location and a ticket icon if you can purchase movie tickets in the vehicle for that particular theater.
  5. Touch desired movie
  6. Touch All Showtimes to see all showtimes for that movie
  7. Touch OK to go back
  8. Touch Map if you would like to navigate to the theater
  9. Touch Call if you would like to call the theater

Change Search Locations

  4. A list of theaters will appear at the current location. Each theater will show the distance to the theater from the current location and a ticket icon if you can purchase movie tickets in the vehicle for that particular theater.
  5. Touch CHANGE
  6. Select location from previous list or touch Enter a Location
  7. Input new location via touch keyboard
  8. Touch OK
  9. Select location for the list of search results
  10. Theaters in and near your selected location will appear


OpenTable®

Using OpenTable®

  4. Touch Current Location to search at current location or touch Choose Location to search for reservations from one of the listed cities
  5. Touch Date to enter desired reservation date
  6. Touch Time to enter desired reservation time
  7. Touch Party to enter needed party size for your reservation
  8. Enter restaurant name using touch keyboard if desired. Otherwise, results displayed will be restaurants closest to your current location or your selected city location.
  9. Select one of the Max Results options (20, 40, 60, 80 or 100) to increase the maximum number of restaurant results returned
  10. Touch Search
  11. A list of restaurants matching your desired search criteria will be displayed
  12. Restaurant name, city, price range and cuisine type will be displayed for each restaurant
  13. Touch desired restaurant
  14. Restaurant details will appear, including name, address, phone number, price range, date and available reservation times
  15. Touch desired reservation time to create a reservation
  16. Your email address and phone number will appear (if set up from previous account). If you do not have a phone number associated with your account, touch Input Phone to enter phone number using the touch keyboard. A phone number is required to make an OpenTable® reservation.

Pandora®

Introduction to Pandora®

With Toyota Entune® App Suite, you can now stream Pandora® in your vehicle and access its familiar controls right from your Toyota’s touch-screen display.

New to Pandora®? Great music discovery is effortless and free with Pandora® internet radio. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs, genres or composers, and Pandora® will do the rest. It’s easy to create personalized stations that play only music you’ll love. Tap in to an entire world of music and comedy—new and old, well known and obscure. Create up to 100 personalized radio stations with your free account.

Using your thumbs is the best way to fine-tune your station and help Pandora® deliver only the music you want to hear. If you like a track, touch “thumbs-up,” and Pandora® will play more songs like it. If you don’t like what you hear, touch “thumbs-down,” and Pandora® won’t play that track or ones like it again. Pandora® will display the track title and artist, as well as the album art, for many of the tracks directly on the touch-screen display in your Toyota. Pandora® can be streamed in your car simultaneously while using other apps or data services.

Launch Pandora®

Introduction to Slacker Radio

Slacker Radio gives you access to a wide variety of music and entertainment in your vehicle. You will have the ability to customize stations, with access to over 13 million songs. You will also have access to 300 Slacker Radio stations covering music, news, comedy, sports and more.

Launch Slacker Radio

EV Apps

Charge Management

Remotely control certain vehicle charging functions from your smartphone.

The Charge Management App allows you to initiate a vehicle charge remotely when it is plugged in to a charging station or at home. It can also provide a real-time snapshot of the current battery state of charge. You can also change your charge timer and pre-climate settings (if they have already been set).

Follow the steps below to initiate a charge from your smartphone.

  1. Ensure vehicle is securely plugged in to the charging station
    (Note: Vehicle's charge timer must be set to perform a Charge Now request.)
  2. Touch the Charge Management icon on the Entune™® app
  3. Enter your 4-digit passcode. On the first use of one of these EV Remote Apps on your smartphone, you will be requested to create and confirm a 4-digit passcode.
  4. Touch the Charge Now button. The app will show the request is being sent to the vehicle. Please note this process can take between 30 seconds to two (2) minutes. Time will vary based on the Internet connectivity strength (cellular, Wi-Fi) of your smartphone and the cellular signal strength of where your vehicle is parked.
  5. Now Charging confirmation with animation will appear on the screen
  6. Even though the animation on the battery indicates the battery is charging, the information displayed on the screen is static. If you wish to see the current state of charge or update the Remaining Charge Time, touch the refresh icon (circular arrow).
  7. Upon successful completion of the vehicle's battery charge, an email will be sent notifying you that the charging session is complete, and the screen will show a completed battery charge along with the estimated Current Range (you must be enrolled in Email Notifications at myentune.com to receive charge completion email notifications)

Charging Station Map

Search for charging stations near you.

There are two ways to use the Charging Station Map: in your vehicle, using the multimedia system's touch-screen through your Entune® App Suite connection, or on your smartphone, with the EV Apps. Using the Charging Station Map application, you can search for charging stations near you, see each station's charging capability (e.g., Level 1 (120V), Level 2 (240V), etc.), and view additional information such as charging station hours of operation, phone number, and number of chargers (where available). You can also map the route to the station using your vehicle’s or smartphone's mapping guidance system.

The Charging Station Map application will work with your navigation system to route you directly to the charging station.

Follow the steps below to find a charging station using the in-vehicle Charging Station Map.

  1. Access the Apps screen in your vehicle by pressing the home icon button below the screen and then touching Apps
  2. Touch Charging Station Map
  3. A list of nearby charging stations will appear along with each charging station’s distance from current location, address and charging station type (Level 1 – 120V, Level 2 – 240V, or multiple types)
  4. Touch a station on the list to see hours of operation
  5. Touch Map and then touch Go to. To start guidance, touch OK.

ECO Dashboard

Have fun while tracking how efficiently you’re driving with the ECO Dashboard App.

Using your compatible Android smartphone or iPhone®, you have the ability to monitor your vehicle's EV Efficiency, ECO Driving Score, and ECO Challenge performance and ranking compared to other users.

Remote Climate

Remotely activate climate control from your smartphone.

From your compatible Android smartphone or iPhone®, you have the ability to remotely activate the climate control system in your RAV4 EV.

  • Remote Climate will activate the vehicle's climate control system in order to reach the last set temperature within the vehicle
  • Your desired temperature in vehicle must be set using the climate control system in your vehicle prior to engaging Remote Climate Control from your smartphone

Follow the steps below to turn on the climate control system from your smartphone. Doors MUST be locked prior to engaging the Remote Climate app on your smartphone.

  1. Launch the Entune® App Suite app on your phone
  2. Touch the Remote Climate icon
  3. Enter the 4-digit passcode. On the first use of one of these EV Remote Apps on your smartphone, you will be requested to create and confirm a 4-digit passcode.
  4. Touch Turn On Climate to activate the vehicle's climate control system
  5. A warning screen will then prompt a response. Touch OK to confirm the request.*
  6. The app will show the request is being sent to the vehicle. Please note this process can take between 30 seconds to two (2) minutes. Time will vary based on the Internet connectivity strength (cellular, Wi-Fi) of your smartphone and the cellular signal strength of where your vehicle is parked.
  7. Remote Climate will activate the climate control for up to a 15-minute period and will then automatically shut off. This time can be monitored using the countdown timer on the app screen. If additional climate control activation is desired, the app can be reengaged for additional 15-minute intervals.

*Do not initiate Remote Climate with people or pets in the vehicle. Even when the system is in use, the internal temperature may reach a high or low level due to such features such as automatic shutoff. Children and pets left inside the vehicle may suffer heatstroke, dehydration or hypothermia, or death or serious injury. For more information consult your Owner's Manual.

Vehicle Finder

View a map of your vehicle's location.

The Vehicle Finder App allows you to view your vehicle's last known location as well as providing directions to navigate to its location.

Follow the steps below to view a map of and get directions to your vehicle’s last known location.

  1. Launch the Entune® App Suite app on your phone
  2. Press the Vehicle Finder icon
  3. Enter your 4-digit passcode. On the first use of one of these EV Remote Apps on your smartphone, you will be requested to create and confirm a 4-digit passcode.
  4. A map will display on your phone showing your vehicle's last known location as well as your current location
  5. The blue map dot is your current location. The red map dot is the last known location of your vehicle.
  6. Touching the red map pin will open a secondary window to initiate mapping guidance from your current location to your vehicle
  7. Touch Get Directions, and the app will plot the directions using your phone's mapping service

Location services must be activated on smartphone for Vehicle Finder to function. The location shown will be the last known location at time of vehicle ignition off. If your vehicle's ignition is turned off in an area without GPS coverage (e.g., underground parking structure), the application may not be able to update the GPS location and previous last known location will be shown.
