Use cruise control to maintain a set speed without depressing the accelerator pedal. Press the ON/OFF button to activate cruise control. The cruise control indicator will come on. Press the button again to deactivate cruise control.

Press the ON/OFF button to activate cruise control. Accelerate or decelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, then push the lever down to set the speed. The SET indicator will come on. The vehicle speed at the moment the lever is released becomes the set speed.

When ECO Drive Mode is turned on, the ECO MODE indicator will come on. Pressing the ECO MODE switch again turns ECO Drive Mode off.

In EV Drive Mode, the electric motor, powered by the hybrid battery, is used to drive the vehicle. This mode allows you to drive in residential areas early in the morning and late at night, or in indoor parking lots, etc., without concern for noises and exhaust gas emissions. When EV Drive Mode is turned on, the EV Drive Mode indicator will come on.

Fog lights are low-mounted lights aimed at the pavement directly in front of the vehicle. These lights are designed to shine under the fog rather than into it, and are therefore less prone to reflect light beams back into the driver‘s eyes.

This indicator on the instrument panel illuminates when the headlights, parking taillights, license plate and instrument panel lights turn on. It does not illuminate when only the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are on.

High beam headlights aid driver visibility by projecting a bright beam far down the road. They should be used only in situations where they cannot blind oncoming traffic. Typical uses would be in remote areas such as mountains or deserts.

Vehicles without a Smart Key System
This indicator flashes after the key has been removed from the engine switch to indicate that the system is operating. The indicator stops flashing after the registered key has been inserted into the engine switch to indicate that the system has been canceled.

Vehicles with a Smart Key System
This indicator flashes after the POWER switch has been turned off to indicate that the system is operating. The indicator stops flashing after the POWER switch has been turned to ACCESSORY or ON mode to indicate that the system has been canceled.

Low fuel level warning light

Indicates remaining fuel is low. When the remaining fuel is approximately 1.2 gal. (4.7 L, 1.0 imp. gal.) or less, a buzzer sounds and the lowest segment of the fuel gauge flashes.

The READY indicator changes from a flashing light to a solid light and the buzzer sounds to indicate that the hybrid system is starting normally. The vehicle will not move when the READY indicator is off. The vehicle can move when the READY indicator is on even if the engine is stopped. (The gasoline engine starts or stops automatically in accordance with the state of the vehicle.)

Warns the driver and front passenger to fasten their seatbelt.

Fasten the seatbelt. If the front passenger’s seat is occupied, the front passenger’s seatbelt also needs to be fastened to make the reminder light (warning buzzer) go off.

This system detects the conditions of the front passenger seat and activates or deactivates the devices for the front passenger. The AIR BAG ON or AIR BAG OFF indicator illuminates to keep the driver/front passenger advised of the system‘s status.

Warning light/details:

Tire pressure warning light

When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure.

Correction procedure:

Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level. The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire inflation pressure is adjusted, have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.

Warning light/details:

When the light comes on after blinking for one minute:

Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system.

Correction procedure:

Have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.

Indicates that one of the turn signals has been activated.

Turn signals can be operated when:


Vehicles without a Smart Key System:
The engine switch is in the ON position.

Vehicles with a Smart Key System:
The POWER switch is in ON mode.

If the indicator flashes faster than usual:
Check that a light bulb in the front or rear turn signal lights has not burned out.

Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS airbag warning lights not come on when you start the hybrid system, this could mean that these systems are not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately if this occurs.

Dashboard icons are displayed in a variety of colors, depending on the system and its status in a specific vehicle. Yellow icons indicate an item of importance (such as low fuel), but are not necessarily a warning.
