The following warning indicates a possible problem in the brake system. Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Toyota dealer.

Warning light/Details:
Brake system warning light (warning buzzer)*

  • Low brake fluid
  • Malfunction in the brake system

This light also comes on when the parking brake is not released. If the light turns off after the parking brake is fully released, the system is operating normally.

*Parking brake engaged warning buzzer:
The buzzer sounds to indicate that the parking brake is still engaged (with the vehicle having reached a speed of 3 mph [5 km/h]).

To set cruising speed, press the cruise control ON-OFF button to activate the cruise control. Accelerate or decelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, and push the lever down to set the speed.
SET indicator will come on.
The vehicle speed at the moment the lever is released becomes the set speed.

During Eco-friendly acceleration operation (Eco driving), the Eco Driving Indicator Light will turn on. When the accelerator pedal is depressed excessively, and when the vehicle is stopped, the light turns off.

Indicates that maintenance is required according to the driven distance on the maintenance schedule.*3

Warning light/Details:
Illuminates for about 3 seconds and then flashes for about 15 seconds approximately 4500 miles (7200 km) after the maintenance data has been reset.

Correction procedure:
If necessary, perform maintenance.

Warning light/Details:
Comes on and remains on if the distance driven exceeds 5000 miles (8000 km) after the maintenance data has been reset. (The indicator will not work properly unless the maintenance data has been reset.)

Perform the necessary maintenance. Please reset the maintenance data after the maintenance is performed.

Tire pressure warning light

When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure

Correction procedure:
Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire inflation pressure is adjusted, have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.

Warning light/Details:
When the light comes on after blinking for 1 minute:
Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system.

Correction procedure:
Have the system checked by your Toyota dealer.

If the vehicle gets stuck in fresh snow or mud, TRAC/VSC systems may reduce power from the engine to the wheels. You may need to turn the system off to enable you to rock the vehicle in order to free it.
To turn the TRAC system off, quickly press and release the button. The TRAC OFF indicator light will come on. Press the button again to turn the system back on.

Indicates that a turn signal has been activated.
Turn signals can be operated when:
The engine switch is in the ON position.

If the indicator flashes faster than usual,
check that a light bulb in the front or rear turn signal lights has not burned out.

If the vehicle gets stuck in fresh snow or mud, TRAC/VSC systems may reduce power from the engine to the wheels. You may need to turn the system off to enable you to rock the vehicle in order to free it.
To turn the TRAC and VSC systems off, press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds while the vehicle is stopped.

The TRAC OFF indicator light and VSC OFF indicator light will come on. Press the button again to turn the systems back on.

Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS airbag warning lights not come on when you start the hybrid system, this could mean that these systems are not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately if this occurs.

Yellow icons indicate an item of importance (such as low fuel), but are not necessarily a warning.
