Camry driver Kyle Busch captured his sixth-consecutive top-10 finish in Sunday afternoon’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) event at Martinsville Speedway. He is the only MENCS driver to finish in the top 10 in all six events of the 2019 season.

After starting from the 13th position, Busch and his team made adjustments on his No. 18 Camry throughout much of the race. At the start of the third stage, Busch restarted seventh and was able to work his way to third where he crossed the finish line.

Fellow Toyota teammates Denny Hamlin (fifth) and Martin Truex Jr. (eighth) also captured top-10 finishes.

“We were just kind of off a little bit. Just lacking a little bit of something. From where we ran midway point of the race to where we finished there, that was a really good turnaround.” ~ Kyle Busch, No. 18 M&M’s Chocolate Bar Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Fellow Toyota teammates Denny Hamlin fifth and Martin Truex eighth also captured top 10 finishes.
“We had a really good car. I thought kind of the second- to fourth-place car depending on the scenario. I lost some spots on pit road and then we had that uncontrolled tire and had to go to the back. We came back to a few spots short of where I thought we should have been, but overall not a bad day.” ~Denny Hamlin, No. 11 FedEx Ground Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
