Denny Hamlin reigned supreme at Homestead-Miami Speedway winning his third NASCAR Cup Series race of 2020 after leading a majority of the event’s final stage.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver led 138 laps en-route to victory lane for the third time this season. Hamlin earlier this season won the Pro Invitational Series race in March at the Florida based track.

“Our car was really good. This is a setup based off of what we had in the fall here last year going for the championship. Had a strong car all day. Obviously with the laps led and was able to get around Chase (Elliott) there at the end. This whole FedEx team has just done a phenomenal job. This Camry is real special,” Hamlin said. “Everyone at JGR for putting together great race cars and keep digging to make ourselves a little bit better.”

Toyota teammate Christopher Bell brought home his career-best NASCAR Cup Series finish of eighth. “I think that it’s all just coming together. There was a lot of adjustment over the off season with Jason coming on board, the new partnership with (Joe) Gibbs, so it was just tough to get on the same page. I’m not going to say that we’re ready to make the next step, but at least we are being competitive the majority of weeks and we just have to keep it up,” Bell said.

Kyle Busch finished sixth, Martin Truex Jr. 12th, Erik Jones 21st and Daniel Suárez 31st.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Alabama next weekend for superspeedway racing at Talladega Superspeedway. The action kicks-off at 3pm ET on FOX and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
