Earnhardt Earns Career-Best NASCAR Finish

May 25, 2019 Earnhardt captured a third-place result marking the best finish in his NASCAR careerEarnhardt Earns Career-Best NASCAR Finish

It was a spring sizzler in the Queen City at Charlotte Motor Speedway. After suffering tire issues early in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race, Jeffrey Earnhardt earned a third-place finish at his home track.

While honoring Mooresville (NC) Police K-9 Officer Jordan Sheldon, who lost his life in the line of duty last month, Earnhardt captured a third-place result marking the best finish in his NASCAR career.
After running in the top five for most of the day, Joe Gibbs Racing teammates, Christopher Bell and Brandon Jones took a turn in the wrong direction as stage two came to a close. The duo suffered from flat tires on Lap 90, which ended Bell’s day while Jones was able to soldier onward to finish 10th.

“This was not ideal temperatures to be fighting the car like that,” Jones said. “I think a top 10 was great. I tried again that last little bit to use the outside (lane).”

“I felt like my balance was really good. My car was running good there. I had no warning of blowing a right front. I was actually a little bit loose that entire run. I guess we ran something over,” Bell said.
