“We had a car in that third stage capable of leading some laps. I just would get to somebody and stall out or run right with them. Kind of weird and need to go study that,” Jones said. “All in all, we brought a really good Supra for the day. Menards, Pelonis – everyone that helps out here is really amazing. We’ll take a fourth from yesterday, how that went, and go to Daytona.”

With just five races in the regular season for the Xfinity Series, Team Toyota is solidly inside the top-12 and in playoff position. Both Jones and Burton have locked their spot with two wins each on the season, while Herbst is 116 points above the cut line.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Daytona International Speedway for superspeedway action on Friday night, August 28th. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and can be heard on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
