Earns Seventh Straight Truck Series Victory

When Kyle Busch is entered into a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race, you can bet he’ll be in victory lane. In each of the seven most recent Truck Series races he’s competed in, he’s proved he’s the winning choice after collecting his seventh straight win, this time in Friday night’s race at Last Vegas Motor Speedway. His current streak is his longest in the series and dates back to his Pocono victory in July 2018.

February 21, 2020, Toyota driver Kyle Busch celebrates in the NASCAR Truck Series victory lane at his hometown track in Las Vegas on Friday night.

“We certainly work really, really hard,” said Busch. “It wasn’t like we unloaded and knew we had a great piece and that we were going to go out there and dominate like that. We work for it, these guys do. All the preparation at the shop comes a long way. It’s just been really cool to get the equipment going that we have now. Obviously the talent that we have now. Our groups of guys, the core of them have been together now for a long time. It’s nice to keep some familiarity around KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) with the faces that are there and bring in some experience to help facilitate growing the 51 team into a top notch team.”

Busch’s win was his third consecutive in front of his hometown Las Vegas. He led 108 of 134 laps around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas track to also earn his series-leading 57th Truck Series victory.
February 21, 2020, Tundra driver Austin Hill takes command of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series point standings with a third-place result Friday night in Las Vegas.

Austin Hill, winner of last September’s Las Vegas Truck race, finished third and Stewart Friesen finished ninth to place three Tundras in the top-10 in the second race of the season. Hill takes over the points lead in the series.

The NGROTS is back in action on Saturday, March 14 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
