For the first time in 15 years, the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series returned to Richmond Raceway. Mike Skinner won the final race 15-years ago and Austin Hill clinched the Truck Series regular season championship in the series return with an eighth-place finish.

“We did our job today getting the 15 bonus points and the regular season championship, which is really nice to have those bonus points, but kind of stings a little bit because we definitely felt that we had a better truck tonight than an eighth place finish,” Hill said.

Christian Eckes 18th, Derek Kraus 23rd an Raphaël Lessard brought home a 26th-place finish.

The Truck Series will head to Thunder Valley and Bristol Motor Speedway for action on Thursday, September 17th to kickoff the Truck Series Playoffs. Coverage begins at 7:30 PM on FS1 and can be heard on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
