Austin Hill Hits the Jackpot in Las Vegas
Austin Hill came into Friday evening’s NASCAR Gander & RV Outdoors Series Truck Series race looking to rebound after his Playoff opening race at Bristol. Rebound he did, as the Hattori Racing Enterprises driver won Friday evening's race to lock his spot in the next round of the Truck Series Playoffs.
Hill held off a furious charge from Sheldon Creed in the closing 30 laps of the event where the duo rode the wall around the Las Vegas-based facility. This marks Hill’s second victory of the 2020 season and leaves him worry free as the Truck Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway.
“The ironic thing was that right after Bristol, right after we took the checkered flag I said, ‘let’s keep our heads up, we’re going to go to Vegas and win it.’ Heck, we did it,” Hill said.

Chandler Smith finished fifth, Playoff driver Christian Eckes eighth, Raphaël Lessard 20th and Derek Kraus 30th.
The Truck Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, October 3rd. Coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on FS1 and can be heard on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
