Toyota drivers had a strong performance in the 2020 Truck Series season finale, putting four Tundras in the top-six finishing positions at Phoenix Raceway on Friday evening.

Kyle Busch Motorsports drivers Chandler Smith, Christian Eckes and Raphael Lessard put on quite a show on the final restart and when the dust was settled, all three of them scored top-five finishes.

Friday, November 6, 2020, Stewart Friesen continued his strong performance in the late part of the season.

“Overall, we had a really good finish in our No. 51 JBL Toyota Tundra,” said Smith. “We just missed it on our splitter heights this weekend and ultimately it killed us, especially with how deep we started in the pack. We stayed out on that late race caution, got some track position and executed.”

Stewart Friesen also continued his strong run at the end of the season with another top-10 finish.

“It was really good,” said Friesen. “We just made adjustments on it – had a good long run truck in the end. We decided to come down pit road on that green-white-checkered deal and put on two tires, tried to get some track position. We just got jammed up on the restart and couldn’t really use it. We ended up with a sixth.”
