Toyota drivers are always quick to take on the opportunity of learning different types of racing – especially from each other. So, it was no surprise when a few NASCAR and NHRA drivers agreed to get behind the wheel of a USAC midget car – with the team that has delivered the last five Chili Bowl wins. 
September 30, 2019, Bell and Seavey being former USAC National Midget Champions, these ‘rookies’ were getting advice from some of the best.
Before the Brickyard 400 festivities began, NASCAR Cup Series Playoff driver and Southern 500 winner Erik Jones, 2019 NHRA U.S. Nationals winner Doug Kalitta and 2018 NHRA Funny Car World Champion J.R. Todd got to experience a different form of racing: USAC midgets, as they turned laps at the Dirt Oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They were each paired with driver coaches, who were fellow Toyota teammates Christopher Bell, Logan Seavey and Tucker Klaasmeyer. With Bell and Seavey being former USAC National Midget Champions, these ‘rookies’ were getting advice from some of the best.
