Toyota remains committed to motorsports across multiple disciplines in the United States as the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all looking forward to a return to on-track competition in the coming months and hope all our fans remain safe and healthy.

Below are the official updates from the governing bodies.

On April 30th, NASCAR announced its return to racing on May 17th at Darlington Raceway. The next two weeks of racing will be done without fans, and with the exception of the Coca-Cola 600, will be run without practice and qualifying.

NASCAR plans to announce additional race dates in the near future.

On May 1st, Toyota issued the following statement on NASCAR’s new schedule announcement. 

“All of us at Toyota and TRD are looking forward to getting back to the race track,” said Ed Laukes, Group Vice President, Toyota Marketing. “NASCAR has put forth a thorough plan to return to racing which works to ensure the health and safety of the competitors and those in the communities we’ll race in when the 2020 season restarts. We understand this has been a difficult time for so many people throughout the country and around the world. We’re anticipating getting back on track so we can all enjoy the excitement and unity of motorsports again!” 

On May 14, NASCAR announced the next part of its 2020 schedule. The additional events and television schedule are below:

On June 3, the NHRA announced their updated schedule for the 2020 NHRA season. The NHRA will contain 19 total events – with two already completed. They will begin with back-to-back events in Indianapolis in July, before contesting 15 additional races in 16 weeks starting July 31st in Seattle. The championship will be a season long tally with the Countdown for the Championship removed for the 2020 season.

FORMULA DRIFT

On April 14, Formula DRIFT announced their updated 2020 season schedule. They will still kick off their season at Road Atlanta and begin on July 4th weekend. The series will continue their traditional eight-race schedule with new stops at Texas Motor Speedway and a second race at Irwindale Speedway. The championship race will now take place on November 20-21 in Irwindale, California.

SUPERCROSS
On May 14, Supercross announced it will the final seven events at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fans will not be permitted. Supercross returns on May 31st at 3pmET on NBCSN. The balance of the schedule:

The governing body of four championships – the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, ARCA Menards Series West and the Sioux Chief Showdown Series – has postponed all events through May 3. The series is planning on rescheduling all events.
 
The events affected:
 
- March 14th’s event at Five Flags Speedway for the ARCA Menards Series East
- March 28th’s event at Irwindale Speedway for the ARCA Menards Series West
- April 4th’s event at Bristol Motor Speedway for the ARCA Menards Series East
- April 19th’s event at Salem Raceway for the ARCA Menards Series and Sioux Chief Showdown Series
- April 24th’s event at Talladega Superspeedway for the ARCA Menards Series
- May 2nd’s event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for the ARCA Menards Series East
 
USAC/POWRi
 
In dirt racing, the USAC National Midget Series has postponed every event in April. The series is looking to reschedule all events.
 
The POWRi National Midget League has postponed every race through April 17th. The series is also looking to reschedule the four postponed events.
