Timmy Hill took the lead late with a bump-and-run and then survived a late-race restart to keep Toyota undefeated in the ProInvitational Series iRacing event at the virtual Texas Motor Speedway.

Hill followed up his strong top five performance in the first event in the series last weekend with a top 10 starting position. He remained in the top 10 for the majority of the race before taking the lead late.

“That was exciting,” Hill said after the win. “I can’t believe it. It was such a fun race. I had to do a little boot scootin’ boogie here in Texas to get by Willy B (William Bryon), but to pull the win off for Roof Claim, MBM Motorsports and everybody back home is really cool.”

Parker Kligerman and Bobby Labonte both earned top 15 finishes, while Toyota’s on-board camera ran with Erik Jones who finished on the lead lap in 21st.

“It was definitely a lot different than Homestead,” said Jones. “We kind of struggled all day, we weren’t very fast, and we got in a lot of wrecks. Had a shot to probably run towards the top five but caught up with a few other guys.”

The series continues with a stop at Bristol Motor Speedway next Sunday.
