Denny Hamlin scored his second ProInvitational Series win as the Toyota driver drove to victory at the virtual North Wilkesboro Speedway. It was Hamlin’s second win in the seven-race iRacing event series as Hamlin also drove to victory at the series opener at the virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Texas Winner and fellow Toyota driver Timmy Hill followed Hamlin’s Camry to the finish line.

The Toyota’s were strong throughout the event with Christopher Bell, Hill and Hamlin all taking turns in the lead, but after the final caution, Hill went with two tires, while Bell and Hamlin got four. Bell spun late, but both Hamlin and Hill were able to get by then leader Ross Chastain in the closing laps. Hill tried to battle back, but Hamlin was able to extend his lead with the tire advantage and drive to the win in the first iRacing event on the virtual North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Timmy Hill finished his consistent performance in the ProInvitational Series with a runner-up finish at the virtual North Wilkesboro Speedway.

“I knew we had the fastest car,” said Hamlin after the win. “Just getting through traffic, I had that early incident and had to use the fast repair right off the bat. That wasn’t advantageous for us, but we were able to methodically make our way back up to the front. We took the lead there in that long run from Christopher (Bell). I had a great battle with him. I wanted to control the race. I definitely didn’t think those two tires would hang on as good as they did. We didn’t have as many laps towards the finish as I thought we were going to have. Luckily, I got a good restart. I got to third. Was able to get rid of Timmy (Hill) pretty quick and then once we got to Ross (Chastain), it was right there. He tried to come down and we were just battling right there. That was a great finish there.”
