Hamlin drove to his eighth top-two finish of the season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Hamlin took the checkered flag behind race-winner Brad Keselowski after a spirited battle throughout the event.

“We just kind of were second there to the 2 (Brad Keselowski). We could really do well on restarts and we were going back-and-forth,” said Hamlin. “Wow, that was some really, really good short track racing. Hopefully the fans liked what they saw there with me and the 2 for most of the day. Some great side-by-side racing. We treated each other fair and it’s good that we got one-two out of it.”

Martin Truex Jr. finished third for the second consecutive race. With six races before the start of the Playoffs, Hamlin, Truex and Kyle Busch continue to hold down Playoff spots to contend for this year’s championship.
