The Associate Referral Program Expectations:
Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. appreciates your contribution as an associate who is referring a friend, neighbor, or acquaintance to purchase or lease a new Toyota/Lexus/Scion product through the Associate Referral Program. This Program was created to help associates refer friends, neighbors, acquaintances, or anyone who is not eligible for the Vehicle Special Purchase Program (VSPP), to a dealer who will give their referral "VIP" treatment during the sales process.
IMPORTANT - The Associate Referral Program is designed to assist your referral in receiving "VIP" treatment during the sales process only. It does not offer the buyer any "special price." All price negotiations will take place between the dealer and the buyer. You, as the referring associate, should not discuss price or answer any questions on price including giving the buyer Dealer Total Invoice or an estimate price. In addition, Scion remains "Pure Price" under the Associate Referral Program. The program is simple:
Enter your associate number and information.
Enter the buyer's information and choice of new Toyota/Lexus/Scion product.
Enter the buyer's dealer of choice. You will first be directed to a dealer in the Primary Market Area (PMA) in which the buyer plans to register the vehicle. If the customer chooses to work with a dealer other than the one to which she/he is assigned, you will be able to pick a dealer from a list of local Toyota/Lexus/Scion dealers.
Once all of the information has been submitted, an e-mail will be sent to a Toyota/Lexus regional associate's attention who will then work with the dealer to ensure the buyer is contacted by the dealer and who will then facilitate the process with the buyer's chosen dealer. After the regional associate contacts the buyer's chosen dealer, all contact will be between the dealer and the buyer. However, the regional associate may contact you as the referring associate to discuss the buyer's [product requirements] expectations prior contacting the buyer's chosen dealer.
You will be updated via email when the buyer is contacted by the dealer and when the buyer has either purchased the vehicle or the buyer has elected not to purchase a vehicle.
After the process has concluded, you will receive an email survey directed at both the Referral Process and web site in relation to its effectiveness to you as the referring associate.
The buyer will also receive an email survey directed at their buying experience whether or not she/he purchased a vehicle. If the customer ended the process, they will have an opportunity to explain why they did not purchase.
