Hailing from a small town in Minnesota, Jessie was on the ski trails even before she could walk. While her natural athletic ability helped her excel at many sports, it was skiing she was always most drawn to. And with the support of an inclusive skiing community, Jessie has pushed herself, mentally and physically, to become the best cross-country skier in U.S. history.
After graduating high school, Jessie decided to try ski racing before starting college. To no one’s surprise, her hard work ethic led her to the World Championship team. From there, she went on to win the U.S. national title, and she hasn’t looked back since. Fast-forward to 2018, where she took on the world’s best at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. There she crossed the line to win the United States’ first ever cross-country skiing gold medal. But Jessie’s passions aren’t just on the course: She’s dedicated herself to raising awareness about eating disorders and mental health, hoping ultimately to help the next generation achieve anything they set their minds to.
"I know I can get to the most remote mountain run I have on my training plan, as well as the short commute to the gym."
