Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS)

As of January 1, 2017, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS) in Torrance, California, has consolidated with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), Toyota’s North American headquarters, and relocated to Plano, Texas, closing the office in Torrance.

Toyota focuses its community investments on engagement and partnerships, versus sponsorships or pure funding. Meaning, our strategic priority is to support organizations with whom we can have a 360-degree engagement - combining dollars, volunteerism, and sharing of Toyota know-how. We simply believe this is the most meaningful and effective way for us to create sustainable impact for the needs of our communities


Toyota and affiliates support programs in mobility, environment, youth and education, safety and diversity. For further guidelines, please see below.

Toyota does not make grants for publications, lobbying activities, advertising, capital campaigns or endowments. Individuals are ineligible to apply. Toyota will not make grants to the following types of organizations/activities:

  • Organizations not recognized as 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, medical condition, sex or gender (including pregnancy), gender identity and/or expression (including a transgender identity), sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.
  • Organizations that serve only their own memberships, such as fraternal organizations, labor organizations or religious groups
  • Political parties or candidates
  • Athletic/sports games and teams

Effective, January 1, 2017, Toyota’s Corporate Headquarters accepts grant proposals by invitation only. Therefore, we no longer accept unsolicited grant applications.
